Belarusian Premier League 2009 is the 19th season of top-tier football in Belarus. It began on 4 April 2009 and will end on 8 November 2009.[1] BATE are the defending champions.

The league has been reduced from 16 to 14 teams in 2009.

Team changes from 2008 season

Lakamatyu Minsk, Savit Mahilyou and Darida were relegated to the Belarusian First League after finishing the 2008 season in the last three places. Due to the league contraction, only FC Minsk as First League champions were promoted.
