Rodyle is one of the Desian Five Grand Cardinals and the leader of the Remote Island Human Ranch. Rodyle is portrayed a cunning, scheming character. He is a villain, but he does not oppose the protagonist group, rather, he plans to overthrow Cruxis and overtly oppose Mithos, the main villain of the story. To this end, he manipulates three other Grand Cardinals, Forcystus, Magnius, and Kvar, decieving them into gathering Exspheres and Gald (ToS currency) for him, researching Cruxis Crystals for him (a Cruxis Crystal is required to operate his Mana Cannon, and otherwise gathering attention from the Chosen's group to distract them away from his plans.

Being the leader of his own human ranch, Rodyle plans to construct the Mana Cannon, a mythical weapon used during the Kharlan War. If he succeeds, he would be able to openly oppose Cruxis. Unknown to him, he is actually being manipulated into building the Mana Cannon by the Renegades, who plan on using it to awaken the Great Seed and restore the Giant Kharlan Tree. Rodyle is also being manipulated by another party: Pronyma. When he is confronted by the protagonists, he uses a Cruxis Crystal on himself, believing that it will power him up. Instead, it transforms him into a hideous monster, and it is at that point that he realizes he has been tricked all along.
