Hi
Got your message. I had done it according to the instructions but must have missed something. If you have time could you check to see if it's done right. By the way I want to work some on closing. Could you direct me to some info on that, can't seem to find it.Thank you.--Dakota t e 04:52, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
Back to you
Actually I should have said that I would like info onhow to mark rfa's that failed, in other words how to mark them as closed, because I discovered some of them are a year old and still not marked as closed, to tell users that they should not edit or alter them. I would work some on anything that I can. It's that that list was easy to find as I check sometimes on rfa's to see how it's going and that's how I found those. I was not thinking about deletes because those are admin only I know. If you have anymore info I am all ears. Thanks so much.--Dakota t e 05:21, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
How do you do that
Hey, I figure you must be online since your last edit was very recent. Just one question (and please reply at my talk page (and I know I may sound like a noob, but I am most definitely not): when you are doing the edit summary, how do you place the little reversion note (i.e. reverted edits by 12.12.12.12 to last version by Bob) so perfectly every time? I know it may sound strange, but I find just placing 'rvv' a lot faster than placing the longer summary. However, is there a short cut to placing that detailed summary other than doing a little copying and pasting? Just wondering.--Master Jay 03:05, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for the revert on my page

I was looking over AFDs I had recently voted on and noticed that one that was deleted (closed by you) recently had been recreated. I therefore re-nominated it for deletion. I didn't nominate it for speedy since it seems to have been written by a different author and I don't know if the content is the same. However, when putting in the nomination, I stuffed up again, and have somehow managed to link to the original vote. Please can you fix this for me? Ta. Cnwb's RfA
Jaxl,
Thanks so very much for supporting my Request for Admin. The final result was 38/0/0. I'm looking forward to spending my summer holidays shut away in a darkened room, drinking G&Ts and playing with my new tools ;-) Please accept this Tim Tam as a token of my gratitude. Although my RfA is not over yet, I figured that since so many people voted before it had been posted, I may as well start thanking people before it wraps up. It'll take me that long to thank everyone who voted anyway! Thanks Jaxl, for your (absolute) support - I'll do my best as an admin to make the reality rise to the level of the dream. Thanks for reverting the vandalism to my user page. I just noticed it in the history. :) The Wookieepedian 13:39, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

Hello, fellow Esperanzians! This is just a friendly reminder that elections for Administrator General and two advisory council positions have just begun. Voting will last until Friday, December 30, so make sure you exercise your right to vote! Also, I'm pleased to announce the creation of the Esperanza mailing list. My RfA
Halo.Bungie.Org Deletion
I don't use Wikipedia much and I'm not very familiar with the protocols but after looking over the Notability page I believe that halo.bungie.org fits those requirements. It has been featured in national news articles on mroe then one occasion, the CBS articles on Video Game Violence is just the most recent. [2] The web page has well over 5,000 unique posters over it's entire lifetime and there are ten times that amount of viewers who don't post but lurk the site, solely for it's immense news database.
I noticed in the deletion debate someone said that Hbo didn't have an Alexa page, but it most definetly does. [3] According to Alexa it routinely hits a million plus page views, nearly everyday. Also, at special dates for Bungie Studios it can easily peak over 5 million page views. It's Alexa rating right now isn't under 10,000 but it has peaked at close to 6,000 if I'm reading the Alexa stats right and leading up to the release of the Halo Movie and Halo 3 it will most likely break 10,000 again.
Also, Hbo is up for VE's fansite of the year award. [4] and it raised over 10k for the Katrina relief through special edition Halo items with teh Blow Me Away auctions.
A side note, Bungie.org has many exclusive interviews with employees of Bungie Studios and has quite a few Heads Up from the developers that are easily noticible in the actual Halo 2 and Halo Pc game.
All these credentials seem to fit it into the requirements, maybe not exactly but it seems to me what it lacks is made up for in it's age and members.

- If you strongly believe it should be restored, then you can take it to Wikipedia:Deletion review and present all the information you just wrote over there. Another vote will be held, and the deletion could be overturned of there is a consensus to do so. However, I cannot do anything as of right now, since consensus was to delete it. - Okay, Thanks.--DanteThePoet 00:32, 19 December 2005 (UTC)

Neologism - Macco's Sledgehammer
Hi,
I was flattered to see that someone saw my post on O'Reilly about Macco's Sledgehammer (the inverse of Occam's Razor, as in the most unnecessarily complex solution to a problem that one could possibly think of), and logged it here as a neologism. I didn't ask anyone to do that, so thanks to, ... whoever.
One thought though. Someone pulled it down because it hadn't caught on long enough to qualify as a new word. So who decides that a new word has been new for long enough? and would that happen before it had circulated so long that it's source became unknown? My point, resources like Wikipedia could be a good mechanism for tracking the evolution of vocabulary, so maybe it's best not to be so hasty to delete the latest turn of phrase...
Brian McC — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.180.43.98 (talk • contribs) 03:14, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a dictionary. I'm sorry, but the phrase just isn't notable at this time, as it only gets 13 google hits. If it becomes more commonly used in the future, then it may merit an article. I see you've suggested that Wikipedia be used to track its "evolution", but that's not what encyclopedias are for; they're used to document subjects that are notable, not to follow them as they evolve. You can always take your argument to Wikipedia:Deletion review if you want, but I doubt the vote will be overturned.
- If you want to mention it in Occam's Razor, you can always try that. Robert 17:18, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

Another image request!
Hey, you did a good job on the Star Fox 2 logo, so I thought if you could help me out again! If possible, I would like this image to have a white background to go with the other logos (see my sandbox page). You don't have to do it right away. Thunderbrand 19:18, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
- Hmmm...looks like a toughie. I'll give it a shot. Probably won't be perfect, but I'll see what I can do. Robert 20:11, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
