Julie Wimmer
Julie Wimmer (born October 18, 1975 in Ostrava, Czech Republic) is a Czech designer.
Julie Wimmer was born in 1975. After graduating from academic high school, she lived and studied for several years in Switzerland and Great Britain. In London, she attended children's book illustration seminars at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Later she successfully completed post-graduate studies of Interior Design at NABA - Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. During her studies, she exhibited at the Milan Triennale. In Norway, she participated in a workshop organized by Politecnico di Milano (Milan Polytechnic). In China, she worked with architects Sami Rintala and Dagur Eggertsson on preparations for an exhibit in Beijing.
Julie Wimmer has drawn on inspiration from the world over – any place she likes, she is at home. She speaks Czech, English, German, Slovak and Polish fluently, as well as some Italian and Russian. Aside from interior design, she has also designed and created jewelry and fashion. In 2006 the FashionOffice internet magazine ranked her among elite fashion designers. Her collections sparked also attention in Asia, where Phoenix Jewelry Magazine, a prestigious Chinese fashion magazine, featured an extensive interview with her.
Her slogan: "The Unique for the Exceptional" applies to her interior design too. In her work, she follows only one dictum: "My client's wishes are my priority. An interior must server the client, and I am the one who gives it personality, beauty and spirit. I create interiors that meet client requirements and at the same time exceed their expectations by combining originality, practicality and high aesthetic value."
