Template:VictorianClosedRailwayStation Nowa Nowa Railway Station was opened on Monday the 10th of April, 1916 as part of the Orbost railway line. The station has long since closed, with the last train passing the site in 1987.[1]

The station site remains just north of the realigned East Gippsland Rail Trail, which follows the route of the former rail line, with the station site itself now used as an emergency helicopter landing place.[2]
