Re: Helicopter Photos
Hi TranquilGames,
Thanks for the message. Please check out this link [1]
You will find nine photos, of which I think at least three are of that particular helicopter. Although, it appears you already found the best one.
That day, I was on a lunch break from work (I work in Liverpool), I was also using an old digital camera from work, with a tiny 16MB memory stick in it. So I had to unfortunately drop the resolution down to 1280 pixels to fit a decent number of photos in.
However, I was with a work colleague that day and he was using a better camera IIRC. I think he may possibly have snapped some more pics of that helicopter too. I am off work this week, but when I go back in next week I will ask him if he still has the photos available. If so I will upload them and let you know. Although, I can't promise anything as I'm not totally sure if he kept them or not.
You wrote on my talk page correctly, but I'll just let you know about a handy Wikipedia convention of which you quite understandably may not be aware. Simply, when writing on talk pages or discussion pages (but never articles), you can end your message with four tilde characters like this ~~~~ which conveniently signs it. Although I admit I often forget to do this myself! You can also start a new page section like this ==New Section==

- Hi, many thanks for the reply, would it be possible i could use your images as a reference to any repaint i do, of course your name would feature in the readme file thanking you if that is ok... would be very happy for you to ask your work mate if he has any, if not its not a problem....
Many thanks Again TranquilGames (talk) 01:46, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hi, no problem at all. Please do what you wish with the images. As with all images on Wikimedia Commons, they have been released on a completely free and unrestricted license, so technically not owned by me any more, but rather released into the community for any desired purpose. Also to answer your other question from yesterday, I'm sorry I don't know of the serial number of the helicopter in the photos, but I'll certainly let you know next week if I do happen to get any addition photos of it or not. Cheers Benkid77 (talk) 10:16, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Again, just a quick note to say that unfortunately, the workmate in question is currently off sick with flu-like symptoms (oh dear). But, I'll certainly reply back regarding the photos whenever he does get back in to work again. Regards, Benkid77 (talk) 14:29, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi, Thanks for the quick reply again, ok not a problem, hope its no more serious than the casual flu...... regards Mark
- Hi Mark, he's back in work now and fortunately fine, thanks. He brought his photos in and we uploaded them under his new Wikimedia Commons account (User:Chimpchop). Please have a look at this page [2] This contains all photos he took that day. The bottom seven photos are of the helicopter you are interested in. He did zoom into areas of the helicopter closer than I did. But unfortunately it appears that neither of us took a single photo of the other side of the helicopter. Perhaps this was becuase of the way it was positioned, it was awkward to get around the other side. Anyway, I'm glad we could finally upload them! Cheers Benkid77 (talk) 12:43, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
