While attending Danny’s funeral the team hear an explosion and are quickly paged to investigate. It proves to be an American terror group calling themselves "Shining Dawn", their only demand being that MI5 arrange for the release of their leader. If their demands are not met, they will detonate a bomb in a public place every 10 hours. Adam and his field team must work fast to stop the bomb, while back at the office Harry & Ruth dig up what they can on the terror group. | |||||

In continuation from Part I, Zaf and Adam manage to stop the first bomb, but the team is only too aware that they have a matter of hours until a bigger bomb is set off. Following up on a warehouse lead, Zaf is captured and tortured, rescued only in time by Adam and his new "side-kick" Tash. The team back at Thames House suspect Juliet Shaw is feeding the terrorist organisation and so interrogate her. Through her interrogation, Adam and Harry learn the true identity of their mole and pursue him through the buildings. The climax comes in the basement of a local hospital, the next target, but this time the bomb is strapped to the captured Tash, and Adam can only evacuate the hospital and hope the team back at Thames House can discover the disarmament codes in time. | |||||

Series 6 (2007)
Series six had a change of format whereby the main story (international relations between the UK, the USA and Iran; Iran's nuclear campaign; Zaf's kidnap, etc.) ran throughout the whole series, whilst each episode or two-parter had its own major thread which would be resolved by the end of it (albeit with repercussions affecting the bigger plot).
