'Madhuvanthi Arun is the granddaughter of the eminent educationist Dr.Mrs.Y.G.Parthasarathy and Late Shri.Y.G.Parthasarathy, a pioneer of social themes in Tamil theatre and the former Principal of the Film and Television Institute of India the daughter of Tamil cinema and theatre personality Mr.Y.Gee.Mahendra.'
She has completed the Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communication after which she has qualified herself with a B.Ed and M.Ed., Madhuvanthi currently works as the co-ordinartor for the nursery section of the PSBB Group of Schools. She has learnt Bharatanatyam from Padma Bhushan Dr.Padma Subrahmaniam. Madhuvanthi has performed solo in India and all over the world including U.S.A., Canada, U.K., Paris and Malaysia before she started touring the world with her group productions.
She strongly believes that during the period when sage Bharatha wrote the Natya Sastra there was one common culture in Jambudweepa(Europe and Asia together). Madhuvanthi works to use art to unite this presently fragmented ethos as there are a member of commonalities and art transcends all barriers. She is the cultural consultant of Bhartkalachar.
She proposes to start a school in Mrs.YGe's name June 2006.The Launch of this school is in the preserve of Dr.APJ.Abdul Kalam on the Dec1. The School caters to Nursery children in the mornings and the same facilities are provided for underprivileged children free of cost in the evenings.
