Troy
My eyes hurt after attempting to read that. I think that editor deserves a block for at least 24 hours, something along the lines of "major disruption to servers, defamation of article; implications of illegal activity, implications of Wikipedia condoning such uploads, etc." Sounds legal enough, so I'll make the WP:AIV. --Jay (Reply) 02:18, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
- Sounds good to me. --bbatsell | « give me a ring » 02:23, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
dear bbatsell
dear bbatsell i thought that my contribution helped to clarify rather than confuse the average reader i would appreciate you leaving my additions alone. —the preceding unsigned comment is by 68.8.196.178 (talk • contribs)

Thanks
for helping with User:Used2BAnonymous and her various IP addresses. The most prolific linkspammer I've yet encountered! - Just zis Guy, you know? [T]/[C] AfD? 03:38, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

Vandalism warnings
I saw on User talk:66.29.30.110 you warned the user first with {{bv}}, and then again with {{test4}}, and I was wondering why. If a vandal is becoming too troublesome, or continues vandalizing after 4 {{test}}s, 2 {{vw}}s, or 1 {{bv}}, you can just report them to Vandalism in Progress or the Administrator's Noticeboard on incidents. I have blocked the user for 24 hours for inserting racial slurs into Black (people), and if he pops up again, give me a holler. Anyways, happy editing, and thanks for reverting the vandalism. -Mysekurity(have you seen this?) 05:51, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm aware of that — I just try to give most people the benefit of the doubt if I can, so even though he was pretty blatant I figured two warnings wouldn't be a bad thing anyway. Thanks for the help! --bbatsell | « give me a ring » 06:00, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
hello? Why does wiki let users change its content so easily? i mean i didnt even log in and i was able to delete a whole page... —the preceding unsigned comment is by 24.21.140.174 (talk • contribs)
Assistance with an upset associate
A friend has asked me for help concerning the Talk page for the Wikipedia article about his company. Some unknown man has written a diatribe about how terrible the company operates. It is a subjective rant from someone that appears to have had a bad experience with the Boston Lyric Opera. No one is sure who he is, but he continuously tries to post misinformation and opinion on the article and Talk pages.
Can you point me to a help page that deals with preventing these sorts of events?
Thanks for the help —the preceding unsigned comment is by 216.57.132.2 (talk • contribs)
testing..
Sorry for editing that string theory, I had no idea I had the ability to effect the page, it actually caught me by surprize that the whole page was gone... —the preceding unsigned comment is by 24.21.140.174 (talk • contribs)

RE: Revision as of 08:29, 22 December 2005
I feel your so-called "un-edit" was in error. The removed portion accurately describes Sony Online Entertainment. If you want to remove something, try the portion at the bottom about "thousands of people cancelling their accounts." Because that is both fabrication AND speculation.
- For reference, the edit in question. Adding a quote from HHG to the top of an article is a copyright violation, for one. It also wasn't relevant to the article. If you wish to request a source for the claim that you say is fabrication, feel free. --bbatsell | « give me a ring » 08:44, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
Fisheaters
The links are being reinserted, but on a more selective basis. I am reverting them and putting messages on the Talk pages. I don't discount the possibility of relevance, but there is nothing to persuade me that this site is an authority. - Just zis Guy, you know? [T]/[C] AfD? 13:08, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
- I have a question — has anyone recommended to this guy to keep links to the articles related to Traditionalist Catholicism? Aside from it being blatant linkspam, I imagine this is another reason for some users' concern and dissension. A link to a quite extensive web site with tons of information on Traditionalist Catholicism would in my opinion work perfectly on Traditionalist Catholic, and I would hope it would stay there if anonymous shut down his campaign against ALL other religious articles. Talk Page Vandalism
No problem. :)--Shanel 05:11, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
IMDb link
I see you added the IMDb link to the Just Friends article. However, it was incorrectly put in. I have since corrected it. This is the correct way of putting it in: {{imdb title|id=0433400|title=Just Friends}}. Just thought I'd let you know. --Thorpe 14:55, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for fixing it. That was just a typo — I went to fix it and you had already beaten me to it ;) --bbatsell | « give me a ring » 14:57, 24 December 2005 (UTC)

uhh.........
I don't know you people, but I'm logged into some account somehow, of which I know nothing about. Sweeeeeeeeeet.
O'Reilly
I propose an even money bet of $1000 that O'Reilly describes himself as a journalist, just as Anderson Cooper does, the only difference being on Wikipedia where they get different descriptions. Am not sure of the status of the class action, but I don't doubt it would succeed based on what I've seen in terms of systemic failure and bias. Fluterst 13:43, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
