Christopher Norris (critic)
Christopher Norris is a British literary critic and theorist. As of 2005 he is Distinguished Research Professor in Philosophy at Cardiff University.
Until 1991 Norris taught in the Cardiff English Department. He has also held fellowships and visiting appointments at a number of institutions, including the University of California, Berkeley, the City University of New York and Dartmouth College.
He is one of the world's leading scholars on deconstruction, particularly in the work of Jacques Derrida. He has written numerous books and papers on literary theory and other disciplines, and his work is highly acclaimed and widely respected. Indeed, Norris is now considered a philosopher in his own right: 2003's Life After Theory featured an interview with Norris, placing him alongside Derrida as a significant contemporary.

Christopher M. Norris is a British Chartered Physiotherapist who also holds a Masters Degree in Sports Science, a PostGraduate Certificate in Orthopaedic Medicine, a Certificate in Occupational Health Physiotherapy and an Advanced Certificate in traditional Chinese Acupuncture.
He has over 20 years experience treating soft tissue injuries and specialises in sports injuries and exercise therapy. He is the author of six books including a textbook on sports injuries which is a core text on many physiotherapy and rehabilitation courses across the world. His recent book and accompanying CD 'Back Stability' has received rave reviews on both sides of the Atlantic. He has produced two further exercise CD's and two exercise videos.
He runs two private clinics in Manchester and is a physiotherapy consultant to several blue chip industries in the North West of England. He is an external lecturer at the University of Salford and lectures regularly for the British Association of Sports Medicine. He runs back stability and muscle imbalance courses at hospitals and universities in the UK and USA.
An active sportsman, Christopher M Norris is a black belt in Ju Jitsu and a coach for the World Ju Jitsu Federation.
