Pest

Pest are a band on the Ninja Tune independent record label, playing electronic music with tinges of jazz, funk and hip-hop. The band consists of Matt Chandler (guitars), Benjamin Mallott (DJ / keys), Thomas Marriott (trombone) and Wayne Urquhart (cello)

Former band member Adrian Josey (aka Pasta/Saffrolla) worked as DJ, co-producer, lyricist & vocalist on Necessary Measures, All Out Fall Out, early singles and distribution of the band's pre-signed white labels.

History

Chandler and Marriott grew up together in Matlock, Derbyshire, England. Chandler studied music in Liverpool, and Marriott in London. It was there that Marriott met the others and the band began.

After releasing their first music on white labels, they were signed to Ninja Tune and have released two albums so far.

Currently, Pest are performing live at various venues all across England. The band is also working on their third studio album, rumored to be released in late 2009.
