Tatiparthi Jeevan Reddy is a political leader in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. He is currently Roads & Buildings Minister for Andhra Pradesh. He is a senior member of the Congress party and is well-known to Telanganas by his nickname, Assembly Tiger.

He is believed to the nearest follower of Late CM YS RAJASHEKARA REDDY, he served in his government as Roads & Buildings minister for 2 years, and played a key role in Telangana politics by competing against K C R, of Telangana Rashtra Samithi.During that By-Election the good show put up by Mr.Reddy has come as a sweet surprise for both the congress party as well as to KCR. No one expected Jeevan Reddy to put up such a good fight. Finally KCR won but with a much reduced margin. Jeevan Reddy was considered the real hero in the election.

For Mr.Reddy this is definitely a moral victory while for KCR, it is just a technical win. As the leader of the TRS party, KCR was expected to win the seat by over to lakh votes. This was definitely good news for the congress and a setback for the TRS.

He was elected consecutively 5 times from Jagitial constitutency, and was defeated by L Ramana of TDP in 2009 elections.
