EDIS is a four letter acronym which stands for:

  • Electrical Distribution Information System - an Internet based application used by large property companies to efficiently manage their electrical certificates, electrical distribution board and other information required by the British Standard 7671. This standard provides regulations for the safety of electrical installations for buildings, the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) has become the standard for the UK and many other countries. The EDIS system is currently used by commercial and government building managers in the UK.

EDIS is the trading name of a New Zealand software company which develops EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) software. EDIS software is used to exchange data directly between the networks and systems of trading partners. EDIS head office is located in Auckland, New Zealand.

  • Emergency Department Information System - a computer based application used to manage Emergency Departments across Australia (All states except N.T.) from 1990 to current date. Currently used in 85% of major hospitals in Australia and selected hospitals in New Zealand, Canada and the UK.
  • This may refer to footballer (soccer player) Edis Isakovic, who has player for the Clarkston Warriors Soccer Team since early 2006.
