Contradictory info on parliamentary work

"He was a member of the Standing Committee on Finance in 1992, a Member of Parliament from 1993-1997". The standing committee is a part of the parliament, so he would have to have been a parliamentarian also at that point. I notice that also the Norwegian Bokmål Wikipedia presents this contradiction.
