License tagging for File:Clarks Joyance 1950s.JPG

Thanks for uploading File:Clarks Joyance 1950s.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:06, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Whitesand Bay Battery

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Whitesand Bay Battery, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable essay.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Would you fancy deleting the pentameter answer from your recent post (and if so my comment about not giving away the answer). Perhaps instead provide a corrected clue ------E-E-? thanks --Tagishsimon (talk) 22:40, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tolmers Scout Camp, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.tolmers.org.uk. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:41, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

¶ Hi, I'm human, not a robot, and I noticed the same thing. If you have trouble finding the tilde (~), it's usually on the far left of a standard English-language QWERTY keyboard. On mine, it's to the left of the number 1, above the grave accent/left-single-quotation mark (`). On others' keyboards, it's been to the left of the letter Z. Or just find the edit button mentioned in the SineBot message above, halfway between the square-root and #R buttons. If you're curious, here's what increasing numbers of tildes do in talk messages (of course they'd print your name, not mine):

Hi

Hi, thanks for your answer on the Reference desk, but who are you? Why don't you have a user page? The Great Cucumber (talk) 20:25, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ref desk - writing quote found

I feel a little lazy hearing how you found the quote I was searching for ... I must have a low frustration tolerance. Thanks again, nonetheless!

If you have the inclination to acquaint yourself with Dillard, I think you're in for a treat. Especially Pilgrim at Tinker Creek, Teaching a stone to talk, or her autobiography, An American Childhood. 198.161.238.18 (talk) 16:43, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.

Cheers for the swift and accurate reply re the Faroe Isles. I thought no-one else knew they existed ! Really strange about the Danes paying for the tunnels too, I never knew that.
