Robb Flynn
Robb Flynn (born Lawrence Mathew Cardine July 19 1968, Oakland, California) is the former guitarist for thrash metal band Vio-lence and currently the guitarist and vocalist for groove metal band Machine Head.
Robert was adopted at the age of six months; his name, Robert Flynn, comes from his adoptive parents.
He was one of the first heavy metal singers to mix rage filled vocals with melodic singing although he has said Machine Head have been wrongly credited for it. He says the credit should go to Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory who were the first to helm that vocal style.
Most recently he was a team captain for Roadrunner Records' Roadrunner United 25th Anniversary album which featured songs by a huge mixture of members of different bands on the Roadrunner label playing together.
