CraftingWorlds.com
Ok as you said A PET PROJECT.. well here are links to notable people who link to my site and work to make it not just MY PROJECT but something that has a large fan base and people recognize for it's notoriety.. gawd thats a horrible sentence lol. First let me link you to the link from warcraft.com which shows how Craftingworlds created the FIRST ever machinima based movie from their game: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/community/anniversaries/year1timeline.html "I surrender" is my movie. For all other awards and accomplishments please refer to this page: http://www.craftingworlds.com/studio/?cat=18 I will also be featured in gaming magazines such as Comptuer GAming World and PC Gaming UK in the next month for the movie located here: http://www.craftingworlds.com/savemurlocs/ All which are under my logo title name whatever, kinda like rooster teeth I am Crafting Worlds. Do a google search for Tristan Pope or Crafting Worlds and you will see it is not just a simple name, and I believe it deserves its own page. Thank you for your time. i hope you see why I made it now and will allow it to be posted. 06:03, 23 December 2005 (UTC)06:03, 23 December 2005 (UTC)TheGodfather Ahh ok thanks
sorry I usually am here for a little then i am busy with other stuff :P too bad it doesn;t email me when you reply.
CraftingWorlds.com Addition
Ok see that makes more sense. And yes i know Paul Marino. no need to bold it :P I was there for the awards and all that stuff. Got selected for screenings no awards :p but hey what can ya do. But What can i add in order to have craftingworlds as a notable production team?
P.S.And as for the first ever STORY LINED user movie, that IS a FACT. Trust me. I was in closed beta when I made it. But no need in arguing that as it is a minute fact.
Miles
The main reason I changed your figures in Flight Unlimited II was both the capitalization and the fact that the conversion from square nautical miles to square statute miles was wrong; 13,400 square nautical miles is not 15,400 square statute miles, but rather 17,700 square statute miles. You converted it as a length rather than as an area. But then I also figured that square kilometers would be more useful than square statute miles, so I omitted the latter. I don't really care if someone else adds them back in, just watch it to see that its correct, okay? Gene Nygaard 13:48, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- No worries, I figure kilometres is better now as mainly only america uses them (miles, that is). And thanks for picking up on the grammatical error.--DooMDrat 13:53, Mar 17, 2005 (UTC)
Grr
You had to be right about the Rise of the Triad God Mode effect, didn't you? One of my personal pet peeves is people editing articles incorrectly... and I was briefly offended that you edited out the description... until I looked at my old ROTT literature. I don't like realizing I'm wrong... so knock it off ;) Scumbag 01:47, Apr 1, 2005 (UTC)
PS: Apologies in advance if I ever edit a Looking Glass Studios game article in a way that cheeses you off - too many of 'em get written by Uberfans of the game. Part of my "thing" on Wikipedia is editing these writings to be more realistic in regards to what normal or casual gamers thought of the games in question, and such edits tend to cheese off uberfans.
A quick thanks
Thought I'd leave you a message. Thanks for contributing to articles and fixing up an error I made in the Happy Tree Friends article.-203.87.119.103 (primarily an IP user, but this is static so you can always contact me)
Nice Work!
I can barely begin to catch up with all the games work you have put in here. So thanks for that! Seamus Blackey had a life beyond Looking Glass - most all those folks have gone on to do important things in the game industry, so they're worth keeping track of. Nice to be working with you to track that! JustinHall 21:40, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Jets'n'Guns
Hey, DooMDrat, i guess i saved a lot of work for you. I added a lot of contents to Jets'n'Guns, so it's not a stub anymore. However, you still need to add a picture. Elitejeff123 15:28, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Now that you've added a picture, I see no reason for it to stay on your "stubs or not far past stubs" page. Also, thanks for making good edits for what I added. Elitejeff123 17:36, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)
RvB
Nice edit on Red Vs Blue. I was going to change the color names back, but I completely forgot how to revert :)
deletion notices
Your Redirect for Deletion notices are being removed about as fast as you can put them on. Just thought I'd let you know, in case you hadn't noticed yet. Joyous (talk) 01:24, July 16, 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reminder. I'd have probably not remembered to check for a couple weeks, by which time the entry would probably be gone.--DooMDrat 06:37, July 16, 2005 (UTC)
MaSu
Just curious as to why you think there's a problem with providing links to their song files. It's not exactly a problem providing direct links when you can just as easily go to their site and download the songs from the exact same URLs. They've got them hosted on a powerful server for a reason. -D14BL0 11:58, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
Could you write the articles for each of the characters in The Strangerhood? --68.72.125.65 17:40, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
- While Wikipedia is not paper, The Strangerhood is not anywhere near popular enough yet, nor the characters fleshed out enough to truly justify a seperate page for the characters, let alone pages for each character. Case in point, it wouldn't happen for Red vs Blue (unless, perhaps, the article got too long), and that has a lot more episodes, is a lot more popular, and has seen 3 commercial DVD releases.--DooMDrat 01:06, August 19, 2005 (UTC)
Computer game characters
Hi there! I appreciate your effort at cleaning out articles on minor characters from computer games. However, rather than nominating them for deletion, might I suggest that you simply merge them into a suitable 'parent' article or list, such as the article on the game itself? Please see WP:FICT and WP:BOLD for some background information, and Wikipedia:Merge if you need instructions on how to do that. Yours, Radiant_>|< 12:10, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
- Sounds good to me.--DooMDrat 12:16, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
Doom monsters
Hey there, you might want to use an edit summary of "merging to doom enemies" or whatever when you do this, otherwise it just looks like you're blanking the pages. Alphax τεχ 12:34, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
- Whoops, sorry! It's just that I wanted to get it over and done with, instead of constantly switching between copy/pasted wikicode and edit summary. I should have thought to bring up all the Doom monster articles at once, paste the redirect code in each, then paste "Redirecting to Doom enemies" in each, THEN saved them. Much easier that way.--DooMDrat 12:39, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
Username change
Your request has been completed. Regards — Dan | Talk 07:33, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
- Excellent. Thanks.--Drat(Talk) 06:16, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
Removal of links on RollerCoaster Tycoon
Could you please justify the removal of the link to New Element on the RollerCoaster Tycoon page? If the other fan sites are allowed to be on this list, New Element should be as well, as it is one of the most active parkmaking RCT communities. --Sb2k4 12:21, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
- I guess it was a bit of a kneejerk reaction, but the description screamed spamlink. I realise that half of that description was added by a recent IP user, but even the version used up until before that was suspect: "A site with players who create the best parks possible using the software". POV. That Coastermasters link description isn't much better. Put the New Element link back, but with an NPOV description.--Drat (Talk) 14:52, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
Machinima
Was it because I didnt make the article? I just made it, so if that's the only reason could you tell me, and Ill put it back.
EDIT- By the way, that page says it's for all Machinima series. I don't really see what the problem was with mine.
Goodies
No problem, we got the answer out. --Paul 11:59, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
