Miracles was an American drama television series starring Skeet Ulrich and Angus MacFadyen as two Catholic priests investigating miracles, trying to determine their authenticity. Both priests had previously performed these duties on behalf of the Vatican, only to leave in frustration when they discovered that the Vatican was not really interested in confirming their reports on genuine miracles; during most of the show, their investigations were on behalf of MacFadyen's business, which operated much like a detective agency. Central to the show was the mysteriously recurring message "GODISNOWHERE" which at different points in the show was interpreted as either "God is nowhere" or "God is now here."
The show's executive producer and head writer was David Greenwalt, best known as co-creator of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off, Angel. Despite generally positive reviews from critics and a small loyal following, Miracles failed in the ratings and was cancelled after only one season.
