Jaypee Institute of Information Technology University (Template:Lang-hi ) located in NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh, India is a Deemed University offering programs in technical education at Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate level. Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan (JSS), a not-for-profit division of the Jaypee Group, City at NOIDA and is at a distance of 3 km from the New Delhi – UP border. The state-of-the-art campus was built at a total project cost of Rs 75 crores (Rs 750,000,000), with a total built up area of over 650,000 sq.ft (60,000 m²) comprising of buildings with internet connectivity (airconditioned Academic Block, and environmentally conditioned Faculty Residences, Student Hostels and Annapurna (the college mess)), well-equipped modern laboratories as well as the library (Learning Resource Centre-LRC). Learning Resource Centre

Learning Resource Center is the backbone of academic activities of the Institute. LRC contains over 34,800 volumes of books. LRC holds 14,332 journals and magazines, 26 news dailies, 500 Project Reports and 2750 CD-ROMs.

The library is linked with DELNET (Developing Library Network), the users of LRC enjoy the access of reading materials through this network also. The library subscribes to journals of national and international repute. LRC users can access online journals of IEEE, ACM, Engineering Village and Springer through the consortium, INDEST (Indian National Digital Library in Engineering, Science and Technology). The library is fully classified and catalogued and users can search for information at their own. LRC users know the availability status of the books and other materials through the Public Access Catalogue.

Lab Facility

There are four computer labs equipped with latest technology hardware and software. Other labs are Biotechnology Lab (9000 sq mt), Analog & Digital Communication Lab , Instrumentation Lab, Machine Lab, Control systems lab, Electronic Design lab (uses MATLAB and VHDL), Microprocessor Lab (equipped with Intel 8085,8086 and 8051 kits helps the students to develop the necessary confidence in Assembly Language programming ) and a well equipped physics lab. The M.Tech labs are equipped with state of the art facilities like LAN Trainer, CDMA Trainer, Antenna Trainer, Mobile Communication Trainer etc.

The institute provides a pleasant and intellectually stimulating ambience for students in an eco-friendly environment. The institute has picked up an eminent professor Dr. J. P. Gupta as its first founder director. He is now the Vice-Chancellor of the University.

JYC

The student body called the JIITU Youth Club[1], also referred as JYC, is the sole student body of the University. Various intra and inter college events are organized by it. The annual festival "JIVE", which is completely coordinated by the youth club and supported by the institute is recognized as one of the best inter-collegiate festivals in the National Capital Region(NCR) and Northern India.At JIIT, JYC, the sole student body of the college, believe in furthering the development of the students as a whole, and strive to provide a climate that nurtures the holistic development of our students, an environment that is trusting and spontaneous; and encourages flexibility, celebration and recognition. This is achieved through annual cultural, technical fests, various events, parties, treks, outings and other spontaneous activities to maintain high levels of enthusiasm and team integration. Focusing on technical, literary, sports, and cultural competitive activities, apart from serving as a retreat from intense academic loads, these extracurricular activities presents with an opportunity this builds confidence, encourages teamwork and gives students a strong sense of achievement and belonging.

Admissions

Earlier there used to be a separate entrance test for the university. Now the entrance has been affiliated with AIEEE.
