Mario Canahuati

Mario Canahuati is a Honduran politician, businessman and a former Honduran ambassador to the United States.[1] [2] He is a former President of the Honduran business association Consejo Hondureño de la Empresa privada (Cohep).[3] Representing the National Party of Honduras, Canahuati was the vice-presidential candidate of Porfirio Lobo Sosa in the Honduran general election, 2005,[4] which Manuel Zelaya won. Currently he serves as Foreign Minister of Honduras[5] under President Porfirio Lobo Sosa.

Canahuati is of Palestinian and Greek descent.[6]
