Welcome
First off...
Welcome!
Hello, 70.127.201.57, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- How to create your first article (using the Article Wizard if you wish)
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}}
before the question. Again, welcome!
Now the not so nice stuff...
Looking at your edits and edit summaries to this article - [1] and [2] - you may want to take a look at a couple of policy and guideline sections - Edit Warring and Disruptive Editing - and a generally used principle - Bold, Revert, Discus.
I'm tempted to say "review" instead of "take a look at" given two of your earliest edits - [3] and [4] - indicate 1) you are familiar with the concept of reliable sources, 2) That IMDB isn't considered one, and 3) you imply you've taken a swing at Toad before.
Please consider this a strong warning, continue editing in this manner and you will be blocked.
- Since you didn't take the warning seriously...
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. J Greb (talk) 20:25, 24 January 2010 (UTC)January 2010
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Duke Nukem Forever, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
