Rachid Tiberkanine (born 28 March 1985 in Antwerp, Belgium) is a Moroccan professional footballer who currently plays for Dubai Club on loan from PFC Levski Sofia. He also holds Belgian nationality.[1]

Career

Early career

He had formerly played for R.F.C. de Liège, JS Pierreuse, Ajax and Bayer Leverkusen.

Levski Sofia

He signed with Levski on 2 July 2008 after a few weeks on trial. Rachid made his unofficial debut for Levski on 5 July 2008 in a friendly match against Spartak Pleven. Levski won the match and the result was 5:0. He scored his first goal for Levski on 9 July 2008 in a match against PFC Kaliakra Kavarna.

Rachid made his official debut for Levski on 13 August 2008 in a match against FC BATE Borisov; Levski lost the match 0–1.

He became a Champion of Bulgaria in 2009, after a contradictory but great season under the coaching of Emil Velev. Despite the bad results during the autumnal part of the season, after great matches in the spring, Levski Sofia fulfilled the plan before the term had set and became a champion for 26 time, before the last round had been played.

Dubai Club

He plays on loan for Dubai Club as of August 2009.

International career

Tiberkanine participated in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship.
