King's School, Chester
The King's School, Chester, a public school in Chester, England. It is one of seven schools established, or in some cases re-endowed and renamed, by King Henry VIII in 1541 during the Dissolution of the Monasteries for the education of 'poor friendless boys'.

The school has many facilities, both academic and non-academic.
The school occupied part of Chester Cathedral until moving to its present site on the Wrexham Road in 1960. It is now co-educational.
Its current headmaster is Tim Turvey (appointed 2000). His predecessor was Roger Wickson who presided over the school from 1981 until his retirement in 2000.
Development
The school is currently going through a period of development, in which many new facilties are being built.
