Category changes
Looks like you are going great work on adding companies to Category:Companies based in Columbus. However, since Category:Companies based in Ohio is the parent category, you should remove the articles from Companies based in Ohio when you add them to Companies based in Columbus. --Kralizec! JPGs
You recently tagged these three images I uploaded ([1], [2], and [3]) as inappropriate format. I created these by building an Excel spreadsheet and doing a screen grab. If you know of a shareware program that would let me save a screen grab as a gif or png, please let me know. I currently use Photoscape but it doesn't appear to let me save in any format other than jpeg. Thanks for any help. Mike Christie (talk) 01:31, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
- You can do a PNG screen grab on Windows without any extra software. Here's how to do it on a default install of XP, for example:
- 1) Open the window you want to grab
- 2) Hold Alt and hit the Print Screen key
- 3) Open Paint
- 4) Paste the screen grab in
- 5) Crop to the region you want
- 6) Save as... and pick PNG from the 'Save as type' drop-down
- Of course, there are many free graphics programs that allow you to take screenshots of regions directly and save in whatever format you want. The one I use the most is GIMP, in which taking a screenshot is simple: File -> Create -> Screenshot. I hope it helps. -- Jalanpalmer (talk) 20:15, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
