Speedy delete notice

The Kirwan Health Campus is a major piece of Government infrastructure and it is probably the second biggest facility in the Townsville Health District. Cheers, WikiTownsvillian 08:36, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • With due respect, how major can it really be particularly when it only has self-references to the content? No notable information has been included which can be confirmed independent secondary sources, and the article has languished in this state for more months than I can remember. WP:ILIKEIT is not a good enough reason for it to be kept. Request to speedy still stands. Thewinchester (talk) 09:30, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't saying that this article should stay because I like it, I was saying that it is a notable facility, the only criteria for notability is that there is enough reference material in existence to build up a featured article on it. Quite clearly there would be in this case were some editors to put a whole heap of work into it. 'I don't like it' is not a reason to mark things for speedy deletions, while I agree some of the things TCR is fighting you on might not be legit, and I also acknowledge that you are making some really positive contributions to Townsville/Thuringowa related articles, but don't loose your higher ground by picking fights with him without being able to back it up. ps there are 687 results from Google for "Kirwan Health Campus", that alone should establish notability.
