Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, known in Japan as Naruto Shippuden: Narutimate Storm 2 (ＮＡＲＵＴＯ－ナルト－ 疾風伝ナルティメットストーム2) is the upcoming sequel to Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Namco Bandai Games. It will be released on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 in Fall 2010 in Japan and Europe.

There's going to be over 40 characters, which is twice the amount of the first game.

Gameplay

The gameplay is very similar to the last game but with some tweaks and new features. A new Single Player mode will be introduced with a 1:1 recreation of the Hidden Leaf Village and will be similar to the last game's Single Player mode. Support characters can be used for more strategic uses like combo jutsus and countering hits from opponents. Awakening Mode returns with some tweaks that are currently unknown. Also, a brand new Online Mode will be introduced to the Ultimate Ninja Storm series allowing 1-on-1 battles against players online.

Development

Naruto Shippuden: Narutimate Storm 2 was officially announced on December 21, 2009 by Namco Bandai Games at a Jump Festa event. V Jump magazine revealed the game a few days beforehand.[1][3] As CyberConnect2's first multi-platform project, they worked closely with Microsoft.[4]

Recently, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 has been announced for America in the April 2010 issue of Shonen Jump.
