A part of the Mint Museums in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Mint Museum of Craft + Design collects artistic craft in glass, metal, fiber, wood, and clay, including jewelry and furniture. It also encourages the creation of art, spawns collaborations and dialogue, and serves as a forum for artists, craft theory, aesthetics and technology.

It opened in 1999 and is a companion to the Mint Museum of Art.
