Standard City Grade School

Standard City was the location of a grade school that was closed after the 1967 school season. The school was a 'three-room school' for grades 1 through 6. Each teacher taught two grades in the same room. The building was deemed to be unsound and the children were then transported by bus into Carlinville, Illinois.
