Petershill F.C.
Petershill Football Club are a Scottish football (soccer) club from Springburn in the north of Glasgow. Nicknamed the Peasy, they were formed in 1897 and are traditionally one of the stronger clubs at their level, although they have not been as successful in recent years as they have historically.
The play at Petershill Park, a large venue with capacity for 5,000 and the potential for more if safety work was undertaken, and currently compete in the West Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association where they share a healthy rivalry with Maryhill F.C.. The colours of their strip (uniform) is maroon and white.
As part of the regeneration of North Glasgow, a new stadium is being built for Petershill, adjacent to their current ground. This stadium will have a 2000 capacity, including a 562 all seated stand, which will make it one of the best non-league grounds in Scotland. The final go-ahead for this project was given in August 2005 and Petershill vacated their old ground in September, sharing for this season with nearby St Rochs in Royston.
