SFI Inc. is a non-profit, charitable organization with over 150 million acres certified to our North American forest certification standard. In addition, the SFI Program is supported by major conservation groups such as Conservation International, American Bird Conservancy, Ducks Unlimited and the Conservation Fund, and is internationally recognized and accepted by governments, organizations, and companies around the world. In fact, today more than 700 organizations are involved in the SFI program. The independent Board of Directors that governs the SFI program is comprised of three equal sectors that represent a balance of the economic, environmental and social stakeholders in forest management.

The rigorous, science-based Standard covers key values such as protection of biodiversity, species at risk and wildlife habitat; sustainable harvest levels; protection of water quality; and prompt regeneration. All SFI certification audits are independent, third-party audits and are performed by internationally accredited certification bodies.
