The majority of the show's A-Plot characters. From left to right: Lawrence, Linda, Candace, Ferb, Phineas, and Perry.

The following is a character list of main and secondary characters on the Disney Channel series Phineas and Ferb.

Main characters

Phineas Flynn

Phineas Flynn (voiced by Vincent Martella) is the protagonist of the series. Voiced by Vincent Martella and created and designed by Dan Povenmire, Phineas first appeared along with the rest of the series' main characters in the pilot episode "Rollercoaster." Phineas, along with his stepbrother Ferb Fletcher, star in each A-Plot of every episode. He appears to be 10 years old, though his age has never been directly confirmed. In one episode it is nearly confirmed he is 11. but this is not yet confimed. Phineas is a friendly and creative boy, inspired to make the summer as great as it can be by coming up with ideas for unusual, exciting, huge, and sometimes impossible activities from things of his everyday life: from TV commercials to random conversation topic. Phineas is also shown to have a wide array of musical abilities such as singing and songwriting and can play many different instruments. His stepbrother, Ferb, is his partner in their activities. He loves his sister Candace, generally being kind and friendly towards her, and often tries to please or help her, by putting her face on Mount Rushmore for her birthday, making her tree house better, or helping her learn how to drive. However, unwittingly, he usually accidentally upsets her with his schemes. He has a normal relationship with his mom and his step-father. He often wonders about the whereabouts of his pet platypus Perry, unaware of his pet's double life. He is very nice to his friends. He also seems to be generally unaware that what he does might upset his parents. He appears to have a large crush on Isabella much like she has a large crush on him. The best instance in which Phineas showed he had a secret crush on Isabella was in the episode "The Chronicles of Meap Parts 1 and 2". When Phineas made a Cute Tracker, Isabella insisted that the interference was her. Phineas said it couldn't be her; it was later revealed that he had pre-programmed her cute-level into the tracker so it wouldn't interfere, which lead Phineas to tell Isabella (indirectly) that she is the cutest thing/person in the world. Another time Phineas showed his crush for Isabella, was when he invited her onto a romantic cruise with him, from "That sinking feeling" A recurring theme is when people ask if he is too young to be working on his current project, to which he almost always responds, "Yes, yes I am." with pure honesty. It is noticed he could be ambidextrous because in the episode "Don't Even Blink" he plays guitar left-handed and right-handed. Phineas is also a little bit naive. In the original story pitch, it is said that Phineas is 9. However, Povenmire later stated that he and Ferb are "less than 15". In some episodes of Phineas and Ferb, Phineas is shown with blue eyes and, some episodes he is seen with black eyes. His catchphrase is "Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today". Another one of his catchphrases is "Hey, where's Perry?".

Ferb Fletcher

Ferb Fletcher (voiced by Thomas Sangster) is Phineas's intelligent but laconic stepbrother from England.Ferb does not talk. Ferb tells us in "Vanesessary Roughness" that Ferb is a shortened form of his given name, Ferb [or Ferbert, it is not yet confirmed]. Although he is very quiet, he is not shy, and is in fact quite the daredevil in certain situations. He on average speaks about 1 to 2 lines per episode, usually a one-liner, and is more disposed to singing, though on a few occasions has spoken several times, especially if a situation provoked it. In an interview they stated Ferb is 12 years old. That's why his voice seems deep. More recently he speaks a little more often than he did earlier in the series though he remains significantly a "man of very few words". Ferb can easily change his voice, usually using a deep voice while singing, but almost always covers his mouth with the mic. He has a great sense of mechanics and electronics and can build various construction projects such as roller coasters, a giant track, and a real remote-controlled race car, among others. He is always willing to help make Phineas' incredible plans a reality. Like Phineas, Ferb is also talented and can play a large variety of instruments, such as the trumpet and guitar. He has a close relationship with his parents and his sister. He has been shown to have talents other than construction and singing, such as stand-up comedy, driving, and cooking. He also has a crush on Vanessa Doofenshmirtz, as seen in "I Scream, You Scream" and "The Chronicles of Meap." In the recent episode "Vanessasary Roughness" he becomes her ally in helping retrieve something for her father. In "The Chronicles of Meap" he speaks the 3rd most lines (three), the 2nd being "Ready For the Bettys" and "It's a Mud Mud Mud Mud World". His largest speaking role is in "Lizard Whisperer".

Candace Gertrude Flynn

Candace Gertrude Flynn (voiced by Ashley Tisdale) is Phineas' older sister and Ferb's stepsister. She is 16 years old according to the official Phineas and Ferb website, and is one of the series' major antagonists. She generally tries to "bust" her brothers, but her mother never believes her. Her actions are largely motivated by jealousy over the fact that she would not be able to get away with the same acts, (similar to Jeanie Bueller). Candace nurtures a permanent crush on Jeremy , who eventually becomes her boyfriend. Candace is good at singing, as seen in "Flop Starz" (even when her voice changes due to an allergic reaction to wild parsnips to that of a male jazz/blues singer) and numerous other episodes. In "Mom's birthday" it appears she can play a number of musical instruments, all of which begin with the letter "B" (bass, bongos, bassoon, etc). She is also the only character along with her mom and the boys that has seen Perry as a secret agent but at the time believed herself to be under the effect of a wild hallucinogenic moss. She is allergic to wild parsnips (stated in "Jerk De Soleil"). In one episode she was stated to be allergic to dairy (Oh, There You Are Perry) but most likely she just was looking for a rhyme (she sings that if Perry comes home she'll change her name to Larry, to which Phineas asks, "Larry?" and she say that she ran out of rhymes for Perry) but she likes grilled cheese sandwiches and a favorite cereal. Candace has her own theme song and often rides a bicycle. In "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo" it is shown that Candace eventually grows up to accept her brothers' need to have fun. She also presumably married Jeremy, having three children named Amanda, Xavier and Fred. This was revealed after her attempt to reverse the time stream to bust the boys. It led to the destruction of her own future so she rectified matters. However, upon meeting her present self she asked "Was I always this nuts?" she also sometimes goes to Doofenshmirtz's place in 3 episodes, most notably in 1 episode, she's in the O.W.C.A but Major Monogram knows that's Agent P.

Perry the Platypus

Perry the Platypus (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) is Phineas' and Ferb's pet platypus. He lives a double life as a secret agent under the codename of Agent P. Agent P works under Major Monogram's O.W.C.A. (which uses animals as secret agents), and combats Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. The Flynn-Fletcher family are not aware of Perry's double life, thinking of him as a mindless, domestic pet that "doesn't do much". However, most of them have seen him as a secret agent, only to think they were mistaken. In "Flop Starz", Linda saw him as an agent at a stop light, only to do a double-take and think she saw someone else. In "The Ballad of Bad Beard", Candace saw him as an agent, but thought she was hallucinating. He is around 7 years old stated in an interview. In "Toy to the World", Phineas and Ferb see him as an agent, but mistakenly think he is an action figure that looks like him and throw him aside. "In Vannessary Roughness", Baljeet saw him as an agent, but with the costume, Baljeet didn't realize it was him. In "I Was A Middle-Aged Robot", Lawrence saw him as agent, but Perry wasn't looking at him. In "The Best Lazy Day Ever", Stacy saw him as an agent, but she doesn't know who he is. Also, in "Phineas And Ferb Get Busted" Candace has a dream where she saw Perry battling with Doofenshmirtz and later, Ferb guesses that's where he always goes off to.

In "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo", two possible futures for Perry were shown. In the unaltered future, he was shown to still be an antagonist to Dr. Doofenshmirtz despite his advanced age and deteriorating health.

Despite his position as the 'enemy' of Doofenshmirtz (to the point of trying to beat one another without mercy), the two have a total respect for each other, to the point where sometimes a help or join each other, making Perry a frenemy of Doofenshmirtz.

Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz

Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz (voiced by Dan Povenmire) is a mad scientist who plays as the major antagonist, next to Candace. He is the head of his own single-person company, Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated. Dr. Doofenshmirtz's main goal is to wreak havoc on the "Tri-State Area" using various gadgets and inventions, however most of his plans have been thwarted by Perry the Platypus. The inventions ultimately backfire on Phineas' and Ferb's work, destroying or otherwise affecting their project, and leaving Candace without any evidence to "bust" them. Almost all of Dr. Doofenshmirtz's inventions have the suffix "-inator" in their names, and his first invention that he created for a science fair was simply titled "The Inator." Dr. Doofenshmirtz is not really a doctor, as his daughter pointed out that his so-called doctorate degree has a $15 price tag on it. Doofenshmirtz lived an unhappy, unprovided, and borderline (mentally and physically) abusive childhood in a town called Gimmelstoomp in the fictional German country of Druselstein, (which is possibly in Bohemia as he refers to one of his clones as a Bohemian) where his family were poor farmers. When the family lawn gnome was repossessed when he was a child, his father forced him to take its place in their yard and was not allowed to move from his spot on any condition. His father later won a puppy named "Only Son", in a game of "Poke the Goozim with a Stick", which he favored over his actual sons (Heinz is one of 2 children). Neither of his parents ever showed up to any of his birthday parties (forcing him to throw his own parties), and his only friends were his neighbor Kenny, the moon, and a balloon that he drew a face onto. His ex-wife, Charlene, pays him alimony, which helps to pay for his evil schemes. He has a 16-year-old teenage daughter named Vanessa whom he adores, and he truly tries his best to look out for her and make her happy, despite the fact he never seems to get a hint that her interests far differ from what he assumes them to be and that she is less-than-thrilled with his occupation and his schemes. She tries to "bust" her father for being an evil mad scientist, much the same as Candace tries to bust her brothers for their projects. Roger, his younger brother and their mother's favorite, is a respected politician in Danville and holds the mayoral post. Doofenshmirtz despises his brother for the fact he is a "goody two shoes" and got all of their mother's affection. Even though Doofenshmirtz and Perry are enemies, they have sometimes acted almost as if they were friends or at least tolerant acquaintances, such as not minding him visiting at his new house (which was two houses down from Perry's house), and asking Perry to act like a "mindless pet" while he was on a date. In fact when he replaced Perry with a new nemesis (Peter the Panda), it wasn't long before he found he actually quite missed Perry and soon asked him to be his nemesis again. In "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo", two future versions of Doofenshmirtz were seen. In the unaltered future he remains Perry's antagonist, though their aged condition reduces them to playing checkers with Doofenshmirtz cheating while he thinks Perry is sleeping, though Perry caught him. In the future altered by the future Candace's actions, Doofenshmirtz becomes emperor of a dystopia created by the suppression of creativity in children, forcing everyone to be renamed Joe so that he doesn't have to bother with remembering names. He also commands the loyalty of the O.W.C.A. and ordered Perry not to follow Major Monogram's orders to travel back in time to change history. He occasionally has songs and "kick lines" to explain his so-called "evil plots". When Perry inevitably ruins Doofenshmirtz's evil schemes, Doofenshmirtz responds with the catch phrase, "Curse you, Perry the Platypus!" The only episode he doesn't appear in is "Isabella and the Temple of Sap".

Secondary characters

Isabella Garcia-Shapiro

Isabella Garcia-Shapiro (voiced by Alyson Stoner) is one of Phineas' closest friends. She is also under fifteen years old and is the leader of the Fireside Girls. Her introduction line is "Whatcha doin'?" She can change her voice as Ferb can, usually higher, sometimes lower, and often assists the boys in their plans, enlisting the whole troop of girls in the process (often to obtain new badges or other credits related to the Fireside Girls). In the episode "One Good Scare Ought to Do It!" it is revealed that her biggest fear is that Phineas is to get hurt in any way. She has a very deep crush on Phineas. In the episode "That Sinking Feeling" Phineas invited her on a romantic cruise he and his brother Ferb made for their friends, Baljeet and Mishti. that Her mother, Vivian Garcia-Shapiro (voiced by Eileen Galindo) is a fast-talking Mexican woman. Isabella doesn't usually dress like the other Fireside Girls, instead wearing a pink dress and white shirt, though she has been seen wearing their uniform in some episodes. When standing next to the other Fireside Girls with her sash, Isabella's clothes do resemble the Fireside Girl uniform, though pink. She always wears bows with her outfit, most commonly pink to match her dress though she has other colored bows to match whatever outfits she's wearing. This difference is used to make her stand out as the troop leader. It is known Isabella will get mad or upset if Phineas doesn't notice her. For example, in the two-part episode "The Chronicles of Meap" Isabella was helping Phineas to find his and Ferb's alien friend Meap using a "cute tracker". However, something kept interfering with the device, and every time Isabella insisted that it was herself Phineas contradicted her. It was later revealed that he had pre-programmed her "cute level" into the tracker beforehand so that it wouldn't interfere. In an episode in Season 2, Phineas takes Isabella on a romantic date, or so she thinks. Isabella has no love interest for Ferb, but it is shown they are good friends. In the Christmas special "Phineas and Ferb's Christmas Vacation" it is revealed that Isabella is Jewish, when she says that she celebrates Hanukkah instead of Christmas. In "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Bugaloo," it is presumed in a line by Candace's daughter, Amanda, that Isabella grows up to marry Phineas, although she could end up marrying Ferb, which bothered her. She gets upset when people steal her line, as in Out of Toon, Christmas Vacation, and Suddenly Suzy. Buford, Baljeet, Candace, Suzy, and Norm the Robot used her line. Isabella, for some strange reason, almost always says her catch phrase to Phineas instead of Ferb. Also, it has been shown she gets very frustrated and annoyed that Ferb always has to go everywhere with Phineas.

Baljeet Patel

Baljeet Patel (voiced Maulik Pancholy) is Phineas' and Ferb's friend. He is a 12-year-old Indian-American who helps them with their big ideas. His age does not match him though. It is stated due to him wanting good grades a nerdy side took over him and he forgot to act 12. He acts 9 however. His first appearance was in "Raging Bully". Baljeet is good at algebra and is passive and very polite. He enjoys trivia, learning, and has a compulsive need to get good grades. In "Cheer-Up Candace" it is revealed that he is also a talented ventriloquist. He has a dummy that looks identical to him named "Little Jeet." He uses a much deeper voice when speaking for Little Jeet. Little Jeet doesn't seem to have a high opinion of Baljeet (Candace: "Aren't you the dummy from the club?" Little Jeet (speaking to Baljeet): "She's talking to you.") During the group's activities, he is often paired with Buford. While Buford often bullies him by taking his underpants, there is also a protective nature between the two of them - they seem to have formed a like-hate relationship. Baljeet is an intelligent boy, and he tries hard to make things better, such as trying to make a new Perry when the platypus gets lost on his watch in "Swiss Family Phineas". Baljeet's name indicates that he is most likely from Gujarat. He has immigrated to America (revealed in "Get That Bigfoot Outta My Face!"), although clues like him studying during summer vacation suggest he is either an immigrant or a foreign exchange student. Other clues are that in the song "Destroyed Dreams" from the episode "Unfair Science Fair", he states that his family stretches from the Himalayas to Kashmir. Baljeet believes that a failed math test is the "scariest thing known to man." ("One Good Scare Ought to Do It!") Despite being as smart as Phineas and Ferb, if not smarter, he lacks the creativity to create extraordinary inventions, noted in "Unfair Science Fair".

Buford Van Stomm

Buford Van Stomm (voiced by Bobby Gaylor) has a noticeable Mid-Atlantic accent. His age should be around 10, even though he is larger in size than the rest of his friends. It is frequently mentioned that everybody is afraid of him, but he really does not hurt anyone on-screen. He is present in the series more often as a good guy than as a bully, and for this reason receives frequent invitations from Phineas and Ferb to join them and their friends Isabella, Baljeet, and in some episodes in Season 2, Irving. in the fun. Buford owns a fish named Biff, named after his mother. Buford has a soft spot for goldfish, as noted by Phineas in "Let's Take a Quiz". Buford is the one who almost always refers to Phineas as "Dinner Bell" or "Pointy", and in "Let's Take a Quiz" he called him "Dilweed". He also refers to Baljeet as "Shrimpy" and "Jeet". However he confessed in "One Good Scare Ought to Do It" that he finds Suzy Johnson (Jeremy's sister) frightening. Although he often bullies Baljeet they always end up as a team; Baljeet referring him as an "Angry Wall of Meat", when he needs Buford's protection. He follows the bully code and once vowed to be Baljeet's slave for life. When motivated, Buford is quite strong as he demonstrated knocking out a giant squid in a single punch when the creature threatened his pet goldfish. It is also said on the show that he is missing a chromosome.

Lindana Flynn-Fletcher

Lindana Flynn-Fletcher (voiced by Caroline Rhea) is the 45-year-old the mother of Phineas and Candace, stepmother to Ferb. She is married to Lawrence Fletcher. It is not known whether or not she uses his last name as most other characters call her "Ms. Flynn" (Phineas and Candace's last name), except for one time when she was referred to as "Mrs. Fletcher" by Isabella in "Candace Loses Her Head". In, "Atlantis," Jeremy calls her "Mrs. Flynn-Fletcher." Linda is portrayed as a regular American mother, although she plays in a free-form jazz band with Isabella and Jeremy's mothers, and was once a one-hit wonder pop star under the name "Lindana" (as seen in "Flop Starz" and "Finding Mary McGuffin"), a secret that she keeps from her kids, although the future Candace (in "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo") knows about her former pop star status. She also runs her own antique store called "Flynn-Fletcher Antiques". She is generally busy or trying to relax, when her daughter tries to get her to see that the boys are up to some crazy plan. She often brushes Candace's accusations aside and now believes that Candace simply feels the need to go after her brothers. In "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted", it is revealed that she thinks Candace is delusional and secretly mocks her behind her back; she also writes down what Candace says to make a "comedy journal", although this was simply a dream by Perry. When the boys reveal their schemes and accomplishments, she thinks they have an "overactive", yet "adorable", imagination. Interestingly near the end of season 1 and in season 2 she occasionally does see Phineas and Ferb's projects, although she usually only sees enough to view them as "adorable", such as in "The Lake Nose Monster" where she saw the boat they made and not the submarine-like base stationed beneath it. In "Interview with a Platypus" she did see their animal translator and see that it was operational; however, it did not translate Perry's noise so ultimately she was under the impression that it was a glorified microphone. She also sees the fort the boys made in "Thaddeus and Thor" though again she only saw the top level, when in reality the whole structure was made of multiple levels, all constructed to suit different themes and designs. In "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo", two alternate versions of Linda are seen. Future Linda, in the first future shown, is still running her antique store and is about to go on a comeback tour, one of many she's had over the years (she mentioned that after two more she gets a free pie). She's now a grandmother to future Candace's three children (it is currently unknown if Phineas and Ferb had any children at that point although one of them is married to Isabella. Which one is currently unknown, though it is presumably Phineas). However, due to future Candace's tampering with the timestream to finally bust her brothers after all those failed attempts, a new timeline was created after Linda saw the roller coaster Phineas and Ferb created in the first episode. She quickly panicked and called almost every law enforcement agency on the planet to stop her sons from hurting themselves. However, the actions of both future Candace mixed with Linda's extreme fear for her sons' safety led to a sweeping movement of wild paranoia over the safety of children everywhere. The end result was the creation of a dystopian future ruled by Doofenshmirtz, where creativity and imagination are suppressed and children are "child proofed" until adulthood. When this timeline was restored with the first future seen, future Linda met the younger versions of Candace, Phineas, and Ferb, and realized that Candace had been telling the truth all those times she tried to bust her brothers. Future Linda apologized to Candace for not believing her all those times, but this was a hollow victory for Candace as future Linda could not actually punish Phineas and Ferb because they were no longer "under her jurisdiction". It is revealed in the episode "What Do It Do?" that she dated Heinz Doofensmirtz before she was a popstar.

Jeremy Johnson

Jeremy Johnson (Mitchel Musso) is Candace's crush and later boyfriend. A real nice guy, Jeremy is 17 years old and can drive a car with no adult supervision. He works at Mr. Slushy Burger and once worked at the Museum of Natural Science. Jeremy also hosts foreign exchange students such as in the episodes "S'winter" and his cousin in "De Plane, De Plane!". He also knows about the schemes of Phineas and Ferb, sometimes taking part in them, such as when he took Candace to their Chez Platypus restaurant, and taking her to their car wash. In "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo", Candace presumably has married Jeremy and had three kids: Amanda, Fred, and Xavier. In the episode "Chez Platypus" Jeremy asks Candace out on an actual date. In the episode "At the Car Wash" he asks Candace to go to the car wash with him. Jeremy also has a little sister named Suzy and a dog who hates Candace. Also in the episode " Nerdy Dancing " Candace presumably tricks Jeremy into dancing in a contest show. Yet on Jeremy's side, he can't dance. So with Phineas and Ferbs help they make an exoskeleton so that he will move like Ferb, turning out to be that Jeremy can now dance. Yet later he must show to Candace that he is a bad dancer. Suzy's dog is trained to misbehave around Candace. He is in a band called Jeremy and the Incidentals.

Major Francis Monogram

Major Francis Monogram (voiced by Jeff "Swampy" Marsh) is Perry the Platypus's boss and gives him missions to stop Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz's endless attempts at instigating a "reign of terror" upon the Tri-State Area. Major Monogram usually appears on a giant screen giving Perry instructions for his next mission, but it is revealed that he never wanted to be a major. He usually isn't wearing pants when he gives Perry his missions, but hides it by using close-ups. In "Unfair Science Fair", he was seen without his wig on. Phineas, Ferb, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, Lawrence Fletcher and Candace Flynn are the only people who have accidentally seen Major Monogram. It was also revealed that Doofenshmirtz knows Monogram's phone number. In "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo", an aged Major Monogram with a beard was seen in the dystopic future, having sworn loyalty to Dr. Doofenshmirtz despite still attempting to thwart his evil schemes. He ordered Perry to travel back in time to change history, but the command was countermanded by Doofenshmirtz. In "Phineas and Ferb's Musical Cliptastic Countdown", it is mentioned that his first name is Francis, which is met by some rib-poking by Doofenshmirtz.

Lawrence Fletcher

Lawrence Fletcher (Richard O'Brien) is the father of Ferb, stepfather of Phineas and Candace. He has the last name Fletcher, though he was once called "Mr. Flynn" by Isabella in "Greece Lightning". Lawrence is an archaeologist from England. He is portrayed like a sitcom dad as being scatterbrained and unaware of what is going on(oblivious). He keeps his treasured memories in a toolbox. He agrees to follow Phineas's instructions and even forces Candace to cooperate, as if he considers Phineas' and Ferb's skills normal. Additionally, he does not understand when the brothers are about to start a new scheme, often being distracted by something else. However, in the episode "It's a Mud Mud Mud World", he is a part of Phineas' and Ferb's scheme,He was also in the O.W.C.A but after he saw Perry as an agent,he tripped in a plug and got stuck in the memory-eraser before carl and monogram see's him, after that,he was a baby and Agent P had to control his replica.

The Fireside Girls troop 46321

The Fireside Girls are a group of six girl scout-like girls, led by Isabella, who are often enlisted in helping Phineas and Ferb in their plans. The troop also seem to have several run-ins with Dr. Doofenshmirtz. They have also often served as a musical backup for the various montages since serving as the "Ferbettes" alongside Isabella in "Flop Starz". In "It's a Mud, Mud, Mud, Mud Worldand Isabella and the Temple of Sap" it was mentioned that the troop number is 46321. Jeff Marsh has confirmed that their names are Gretchen (voiced by Ariel Winter, the one who has short brown hair and wears glasses; its implied she is the second in command of the troup or Isabella's "Ferb" as she possess great knowledge and know how of different mechanics like Ferb.) Holly (the African-American girl in resemblance to Aka Pella from Histeria!; voiced by Cymphonique Miller), Katie (the light-skinned blond girl; voiced by Isabella Acres), Milly (the girl with freckles and curly brown hair; voiced by Isabella Mura), Adyson Sweetwater (the girl who has straight brown hair and wears a sleeveless uniform and a red headband; voiced by Madison Pettis) Ginger (the dark-haired Asian girl in resemblance to Stacy Hirano; voiced by Tiffany Espensen). It has been suggested that Ginger has a crush on Baljeet (which the other girls don't appreciate); as she always puts on a "Seeing a Cute Boy" badge after seeing Baljeet only to get it torn off by one of the other members. Up until "Isabella and the Temple of Sap", only Gretchen has actually been addressed by name on the show. Like Ferb, The Fireside Girls also all have a talent for construction. Their involved projects range from building the stage for a Love Handel Concert in "Dude, We're Gettin' the Band Back Together" to constructing the time machine to rescue Phineas, Ferb, and Candace from the distant past in "It's About Time" which was later used by Phineas, Ferb, and Isabella to travel to the future in "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo". Usually in the schemes that Phineas and Ferb do Isabella is always trying to help just to get closer to Phineas and she is always supporting Phineas.

Stacy Hirano

Stacy Hirano (Kelly Hu) is Candace's very enthusiastic best friend and is 16 years old. She mostly appears in person in the series but mostly Candace talks to her on the phone, but she usually doesn't appear in those episodes, like in the episode "I, Brobot", Candace is telling her that she couldn't come over to watch Stacy get her ears pierced. She is one of the few persons who knows the truth about the boys, although she is never concerned about it. She usually convinces Candace to participate and enjoy the moment instead of trying to bust her brothers; in fact, in "Put That Putter Away" she was dispatched by a bed-ridden Candace to bust Phineas and Ferb, but wound up having so much fun with them that she forgot her mission and joined the boys. She also accompanied Candace on the family holiday to Britain in "Elementary, My Dear Stacy". While Candace was so set on finding out what Phineas and Ferb were up to and busting them, Stacy was intent on shopping to the point that Candace dragged her out of a store twice. She also might be a love interest for Coltrane as seen in "Best Lazy Day Ever" and "The Baljeatles." In Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo, future Stacy is mentioned by future Candace as being the president of Uruguay. Her resemblance is Ginger.

Vanessa Doofenshmirtz

Vanessa Doofenshmirtz (Olivia Olson) is Heinz and Charlene Doofenshmirtz's 16 year old teenage daughter. Before the episode "Dude, We're Getting the Band Back Together", she was 15 years old, the same age as Candace. She is sarcastic, mild-mannered, cynical, and dresses in a goth style. Her parents are divorced. Vanessa is aware that Doofenshmirtz is a mad scientist and knows about her father's nemesis, Perry the Platypus. She is often exasperated by her father whenever he tries to establish a "father-daughter" bond between them, as he doesn't really understand her interests and often assumes that she is also interested in "evil". She often tries to convince her mom that her dad is an "evil mad scientist" but, much like Candace, ultimately always fails. She does, however, occasionally show appreciation for what he does for her, as he is clearly dedicated to her and he taught her how to drive. Such appreciation was shown in the episode "Finding Mary McGuffin" when her dad bought her a Mary McGuffin doll (something Vanessa wanted when she was younger) at the Flynn-Fletcher's yard sale. Despite expecting a car, she was nonetheless grateful for this show of affection from her dad. So grateful, in fact, that, when the doll accidentally got donated to charity and she and Candace (whose doll it had originally been) fought over it at the charity house causing it to fall into a little girl's hands, she still didn't want to give it up, taking it back from the crying little girl. This action caused her dad, branding it as "evil", to be proud of her. Vanessa is also frequently compared to Candace in the series. In "Dude, Were Getting The Band Back Together" it is mentioned that she has a crush on a boy named Johnny, while Candace has a crush on Jeremy. It is also mentioned that her best friend's name is "Lacey" compared to Stacey. Ferb has a crush on Vanessa as shown in "I Scream, You Scream", "The Chronicles of Meap" and especially "Vanessassary Roughness", in which Ferb goes out of his way to help Vanessa gain a scientific element to give to her dad to prove to him her responsibility in the hopes of getting a car (Ferb even saves her from a runaway lawnmower on an escalator at one point).

Carl, the Intern

Carl, the Intern (Tyler Alexander Mann), whose name "isn't very cool", is Major Monogram's young intern. He is a bit careless, wears glasses, and sometimes forgets to focus the camera correctly. In one episode in particular, Carl forgot to give Monogram a close-up with the camera, revealing that Major Monogram wasn't wearing any pants. He also has his own theme song, as shown in "Swiss Family Phineas". His nick name is Dr. Coconut. It is also said that he was born without nostrils.

Vivan Garcia-Shapiro (Eileen Galindo) or simply "Viv", is Isabella's mother, and lives across the street from Phineas and Ferb. She plays contra-bass in a jazz band with Linda Flynn. She is known to talk very fast and often makes useless comments such as "Oh, Candace, look how tall you've gotten" when they had only seen each other in less than a week, and again only a few minutes later. She is usually calling Isabella Isa and is usually having some little get togethers with Linda Flynn.

Django Brown

Django Brown (Alec Holden) is Phineas and Ferb's Australian American friend. He can surf, as seen in "Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror!" He plays the electric violin at the "Summer Rocks" concert. Django is the son of the artist Beppo Brown, who is famous for his work in making giant creations, from refrigerators to dental floss. He can be seen again in "Jerk De Soleil", attempting to put his foot behind his head as part of a circus act.

Coltrane

Coltrane (Corbin Bleu) is a friend of Jeremy Johnson and the guitarist in his band, Jeremy and the Incidentals. He has a crush on Stacy and he's an instructor at Baljeet's summer rock camp. He was later seen watching Jeremy's TV commercial with him; he then changed the channel to see Candace on Phineas and Ferb's quiz show. It is also seen that in "The Best Lazy Day Ever" he and Stacy are together.

Jenny

Jenny (Alyson Stoner) is Candace's second best friend. She wears a peace symbol necklace and she says she hopes for world peace. Jenny has only been shown in six episodes: "Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror!", "Unfair Science Fair Redux (Another Story)", "Attack of The Living Gelatin", "Dude, We're Getting the Band Back Together!", "Thaddeus and Thor" and "Phineas and Ferb-Busters".

Pinky

Pinky (Frank Welker) is Isabella's pet chihuahua. Much like Perry the Platypus, Pinky also lives a double-life as a secret agent for the O.W.C.A. under the codename of "Agent P", in a division run by a commander named Wanda, who is also aware of Major Monogram's division being in the area, when Perry is accidentally transported to their HQ. Pinky's nemesis is Professor Poofenplotz. Although he does not like dog food, Pinky will eat just about anything—especially his favorite; grilled cheese sandwiches, and even inedible objects (having once swallowed Isabella's Fireside Girl sash). Pinky always shakes as an ongoing joke about how Chihuahuas are always shaking from being excited.(Pinky has once eaten Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz)

Norm the Giant Robot Man

Norm (John Viener) was created by Dr. Doofenshmirtz to destroy Perry the Platypus. Introduced in "Greece Lightning", he is a giant robotic mild-mannered businessman, who often says "The enemy of Platypus is man". Norm has had repeated appearances in other episodes like "Traffic Cam-Caper", "Hail Doofania!", and "Undercover Carl". In the former Perry borrows Norm as a ride to steal the traffic cam disk, for it has evidence that Perry is a secret agent. In the latter Norm and Dr. Doofenshmirtz build a new country called "Doofania", only for it to sink. Ironically, this happened because Phineas and Ferb's work, the Rainbowinator, inadvertently destroyed it, rather than the other way around. Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Norm later played a game of hide-and-go-seek together, but Norm didn't quite get it. In the same episode he also makes references to Phineas' and Isabella's catchphrases. He was once on the O.W.C.A but was fired because he was not an animal.

Charlene Doofenshmirtz

Charlene Doofenshmirtz (Allison Janney) is the former wife of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz and shares custody of their daughter, Vanessa. Contrary to what one might assume, she didn't divorce from Heinz because he was evil (and she even mentioned once that she doesn't believe someone can ever be truly "evil"), rather it was just because they didn't get along very well due to them having different interests and wanting different things. She is often called by Vanessa who tries to "bust" her father but to no avail. Charlene and Linda Flynn-Fletcher are often paired up in a cooking class owned by Chef Pierre and in "I Scream, You Scream" were distracted by both Candace and Vanessa at the same time. She still goes to Doofenshmirtz family reunions claiming that she "kept the name".

Suzy Johnson

Suzy Johnson (Kari Wahlgren), known as Little Suzy Johnson, is the little sister of Jeremy. She has a high-pitched squeaky voice and appears very cute and innocent. However, she is actually very spoiled and manipulative; she always has to get her own way and is very possessive over Jeremy, and thus will do anything to keep Candace away from her brother. Due to comments made by Buford to Phineas and Isabella in the episode "One Good Scare Ought to Do It", it can be assumed that he is terrorized by her along with Candace. Jeremy is completely unaware of her evil side. Suzy has blond hair in little twirls. She wears a blue skirt and a white shirt and purple jacket. Buford also thinks Suzy is evil and the scariest thing he could think of. The only reason Suzy tortures Candace causes she's jealous of her for when she's near Jeremy he gets her attention instead of Suzy, but Suzy will never admit it. Also, sometimes Suzy is almost close to be busted to her dark side to Jeremy when she's talking to herself like in one episode, after Candace finally runs away from Suzy and Suzy starts to talk to herself and responds to, "What," Suzy quickly takes it back and responds, "Hee, hee...Bubble." Suzy reappears in "Suddenly Suzy" and actually starts to bond with Candace, for the first time ever, despite what all the things Suzy's done to Candace. Suzy had first appear in One Good Scare Ought to Do It!. Her second appear is in "Comet Kermillian". For some reason, on the episodes list of Phineas and Ferb, it has her first appearance in "Crack That Whip," but really in "One Good Scare Ought to do It." In "Suddenly Suzy", it is revealed that she is actually nice and is only mean when Jeremy is around. She still, however, enjoys devious plotting, which she utilizes to attempt to aid Candace in manipulating Phineas and Ferb into busting themselves.

Grandpa Clyde Flynn and Grandma Betty Jo Flynn

Grandpa Clyde Flynn and Grandma Betty Jo Flynn (Barry Bostwick and Caroline Rhea) are Phineas and Candace Flynn's maternal grandparents and Ferb Fletcher's step-grandparents and they invite them, along with the neighborhood kids, to a lake house every summer which Phineas calls Camp P&F. Though they are old, they often participate in their capers. Betty Jo has an identical twin sister, called Lorraine, who lives in a closet and only comes out once a year when the two want to prank someone. Grandpa Clyde, like Phineas and Ferb, has a great sense of mechanics as seen in the "Crack That Whip!" Also in the episode, "Crack That Whip!" Betty Jo is shown to have a fierce rivalry with Edna Hildagard (Jeremy and Suzy's grandma) ever since Betty Jo faced Hildagard in the no-rules Tri-State Skate Championship, where Hildagard punched Betty Jo and won the championship. Betty Jo accused Hildagard of cheating and Hildagard accused Betty Jo of being a sore loser.

Grandpa Reginald Fletcher and Grandma Winifred Fletcher

Grandma Winifred Fletcher and Grandpa Reginald Fletcher (Jane Carr and Malcolm McDowell) are Ferb's grandparents and Lawrence Fletcher's parents that live in England. Known alternatively as the "Flying Fishmonger", Grandpa Reginald used to be a dare-devil 40 years ago, driving a fish-shaped motorcycle called "The Holy Mackerel" and having an "anthem" so dreary that it automatically made it rain. This caused the postponing of several attempts to jump McGregor's Gorge but once Phineas and Ferb upped the tempo, Grandpa Reginald finally was able to jump the McGregor's Gorge made in the back yard.

Roger Doofenshmirtz

Roger Doofenshmirtz (John O'Hurley) is Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz's younger brother. Heinz very often states angrily that Roger is their mother's favorite son. He is a very good kickball player. In "A Tree to Get Ready" he states that he is "the most handsome and charming man in the Tri-State area" and in "Hail Doofania" he was elected mayor of Danville.

Irving

Irving (Jack McBrayer), is a boy who is Phineas' and Ferb's self-proclaimed biggest fan. He always carries a scrapbook that he filled with images and souvenirs from Phineas and Ferb's big ideas with him (such as the roller coaster, the chariot race, and the boys with some sort of soup, from the time they created Chez Platypus). He has pictures and stories of the gang ever since day one. He even has a lock of Ferb's hair. He apparently was with them the whole day but had gone unnoticed because his horoscope says he's "the background type". He says he often has to digitally insert himself in pictures of their adventures to make it seem as though he was there as well. He thinks that Phineas and Ferb always have a plan, but is disappointed to find out that they have just been improvising the whole time. ("Hide and Seek") He also appears with Phineas and Ferb's group of friends in "What Do It Do?" and "Atlantis". In "What Do It Do?", Phineas addresses him separately, ("Friends, Bullies, Irving"), indicating that Phineas and Ferb don't consider him a friend. Also, in "Atlantis", he states that he got in the car when Linda stopped for gas, indicating that he wasn't invited onto the beach trip although it seems that he is part of the immediate group of kids. Buford and Baljeet do not seem to particularly like him, calling him a nerd among other things. He was also in "Phineas and Ferb's Christmas Vacation" as one of the kids opening a present.

Minor characters

Love Händel

Love Händel: A rock band idolized by many in the Danville Tri-State Area, first seen the episode "Dude, We're Gettin' the Band Back Together!" Lawrence Fletcher and Linda Flynn shared their first kiss at the Love Handel Theatre. Shortly afterward, plagued by infighting caused by the pressures of a dwindling fanbase, Love Händel split up. Lead Singer Danny (Jaret Reddick) became the owner of Danny's Music Shop. Danny also appeared for a split-second in the "Mix-Mingle Machine" song in the episode "Cheer-up Candace". Bass Player Bobbi Fabulous (Carlos Alazraqui) became the owner of Bobbi's Fashion Salon and Linda's hairdresser. Sherman "Swampy" (Steve Zahn) ended up working at the Danville Public Library. Dr. Hirano

Dr. Hirano is Stacy's mother. She removed Isabella's tonsils in I Scream, You Scream. Whenever Candace says Stacy is a genius, Stacy will say "Could You Call My Mom And Tell Her That?" It appears that Dr. Hirano doesn't think her daughter is very smart. In Dude, We're Getting The Band Back Together, it's said that Love Handel is Stacy's mom's favorite band. Stacy then calls her mom to tell her that Love Handel is reforming. Dr. Hirano was also in Does This Duckbill Make Me Look Fat? when she said she liked how Perry The Platypus' hat looked on Candace.
