The Park Grill is a contemporary American cuisine, 300-seat restaurant located at Millennium Park in Chicago, Illinois.[2][3][4][5] Bordering Millennium Park along Chicago's Michigan Avenue, the restaurant's outdoor seating becomes McCormick Tribune Plaza & Ice Rink in the winter.[6][7][4][8] In the summer, this outdoor seating area is the largest Al fresco dining area in Chicago.[9][10] Famous Chicago sculpture Cloud Gate on the AT&T Plaza is located on the roof of Park Grill.[11] Diners at the Grill overlook the skating rink through floor-to-ceiling windows in the Winter.[12] The Executive Chef of Park Grill is Bernard Laskowski.[1]

The operators of Park Grill have a twenty year lease from Chicago Park District that was criticized by Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley in 2005.[13][14] A controversial aspect of the 20-year operating agreement was the property tax exemption which it bestowed upon Park Grill. [15] After a legal battle between the Cook County Assessor and the restaurant, the Grill still remains exempt from property taxes after a recent court ruling.[16][17][18]
