Samara Time (SAMT) is the time zone 3 hours ahead of UTC (UTC+4) and 1 hour ahead of Moscow Time (MSK+1). Samara Summer Time (SAMST) is UTC+5, still 1 hour ahead of Moscow (MSD+1). Samara Time is used in Samara Oblast and Udmurtia. On March 28, 2010, the only two Russian regions using Samara Time will move 1 hour backwards to Moscow Time, which will make Samara Time obsolete (unused)[1][2].
