Robert Hughes (born August 19, 1948 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian actor whose most famous roles include ABBA: The Movie and the TV sitcom Hey Dad...!

Hughes has worked extensively in Australian theatre, film and television and as a Sydney Theatre Company company artist from 1981. Theatre roles included The War Horse and Great Big Adventure Book for Boys. Television roles have included: Chopper Squad, Cop Shop, The Sullivans, Skyways, Tickled Pink, The Paul Hogan Show, Dick Emery in Australia, Daily at Dawn, The Timeless Land, Kingswood Country, A Country Practice, Learned Friends, Prisoner and The New Adventures of Blinky Bill.

Film roles have included: Cathy's Child, Fatty Finn, ABBA: The Movie and Squizzy Taylor.

He has made headlines recently having been implied in accusation of sexual abuse by Sarah Monahan[1], a six year old actor for Hey Dad...!, since which similar abuse claims have allegedly been made by others. [2] [3]
