South-Doyle High School is a high school located at 2020 Tipton Station in Knoxville, Tennessee. It is a part of the Knox County school district. The current principal is Rick Walker.

South-Doyle High was created in 1991 when Doyle High School and South-Young High School were merged by an action of the Knox County Board of Education. The campus includes both the former Doyle High campus (now the main campus area) and the campus for the former Doyle Middle school (now the Young campus). The extremely diverse student population is predominantly Anglo-Saxon while African-Americans and other ethnic groups make up a minority of the total.

This pedagogue is in a lesser funded area of knox county, thus explaining its priority status, in other words, its a fing cesspool from whence I escaped, only now to erase with prejudice

Sports

South-Doyle has been competing in athletics since the 1991–1992 school year, the year they opened. The Cherokees have won seven state championships in all sports, with six of those being individual championships.

Football

The South-Doyle Cherokees football team is coached by Clark Duncan, entering his first year as coach of the team. Duncan last coached in 1992, for Powell High School in Knoxville, where he even appeared in a state championship game in 1991. The 'Kees have struggled over the past few years, even having an 0-10 season, dubbed "The Trail of Tears" by the student body in 2004. The Cherokees' last playoff appearance was in 2002, where they were subsequently knocked out in their first game.

On December 15, 2008, Hutchins announced he would leave South-Doyle and go to Morristown West High School to become the defensive coordinator.
