April Fool is a 2010 Malayalam movie starring Siddique, Jagadish, Jagathy Sreekumar and Lal. It is directed by Viji Thampi. This is his 27th film.
April Fool was produced by Santosh Damodar under the banner of Damor Cinema. This movie is inspired by the Bollywood film Bheja Fry, by Sagar Bellary. [1]
Plot
A city club, which Rakesh Menon (Siddique) visits every weekend, regularly hosts a special program which hosts a poorly performing artists, thus humiliating them and giving a sadistic pleasure for the audience.
One day, Rakesh invites Krishnanunni (Jagadish), an Income Tax inspector and singer to perform for this event. To test that he is a 'real fool', Rakesh invites Krishnanunni to his home first for a trial performance. On that day, Rakesh accidentally falls into a swimming pool and gets injured. The club cancels the event due to Rakesh’s injury. Krishnanunni unaware of this, still visits Rakesh's home as he was told. The rest of the story is the humorous idiotic situations that Krishnanunni creates at Rakesh's home.

Release
Shooting of the film was finished in Thiruvananthapuram. It was released on April 1, commonly known as April Fools' Day.
