Instructions

Xenobot Mk V tags talk pages on behalf of WikiProjects. To request a tagging run, please do the following:

  1. Create a subpage in your WikiProject to be used by the bot (e.g. Wikipedia:WikiProject Toronto/Categories).
    On this subpage, place a list of categories which contain articles you are sure are within the scope of your project.
    Please note any errors based on given instructions may require cleanup by the WikiProject.
    (You may skip the above step if you are only requesting auto-assessment of unassessed articles)
  2. Ensure there is consensus for the task by posting at the project's talk page.
    (You may use {{subst:User talk:Xenobot Mk V/process}} as a boilerplate message)
  3. Submit a new request:
    Section title:
    ==[[WP:XXXX]]== (where XXXX is your project's shortcut, e.g. WP:TORONTO)
    Advise which of the following you want tagged, if any:
    image, templates, categories, portals (and the class names, if different than normal)
    Advise if you would like to also (or only) have the bot auto-assess your unassessed articles
    Advise of any other special instructions (exclusions, reporting, etc.)
  4. Be available to respond to follow up questions and error reports following the bot's operation.
