The second season of the television series Dill Mill Gayye commenced airing in India on September 22, 2009. The show airs from Monday to Friday at 08:00 pm on STAR One. After a six month leap, 5 new interns enter while the old interns will become resident doctors. The second season introduces five new interns : Dr. Siddhant Modi, Dr. Tamanna Patil, Dr. Naina Mehra, Dr. Yuvraaj and Dr. Jitendra Prasad. While Dr. Riddhima Gupta,Dr. Armaan Mallik, Dr. Shashank Gupta, Dr. Atul Joshi and Dr. Anjali Gupta continue playing important roles.

Plot
Initially, Dr. Siddhant and Dr Tammana fall for each other. But later, they break up and Tamanna gets engaged to another man leaving for Canada with her fiance.Riddhima returns. She and Dr. Siddhant develop an immediate dislike towards each other. But they end up getting married to save their pride, when people start doubting that they are having an affair. Now the show mainly focuses on their married life and how they are adjusting with their new life. Meanwhile Yuvraj and Naina Fall in love with each other. Dr. Abhimanyu and Dr. Nikita Get Engaged. Siddhanth's younger sister Suvarna Modi and Yuvraj's arch enemy Raj Singh (Yuvraj Singh) also join Sanjeevani as new interns.
Cast
Dr. Armaan Malik played by Karan Singh Grover and Dr. Riddhima Gupta/Modi played by Jennifer Winget continue to be the leading roles. Dr. Armaan is a flirty and fun loving doctor from a broken family. Dr. Riddhima is a sweet, simple and humble lady who is hard working.
New character Dr. Siddhant Modi played by Karan Wahi is the parallel lead. He is the flirty,lazy and witty intern from US.
The second season also introduces 4 new interns to Sanjeevani (other than Siddhant Modi) : Dr. Naina Mehta played by Neha Jhulka, a energetic and adventurous chatterbox. Dr. Yuvraaj Oberoi played by Sehban Azim a serious, mature and mysterious character. Dr. Tamanna Patil played by , the sweet,simple and Moulshree Sachdeva good natured girl. Dr. Jitendra Prasad played by Prasad Barve, a colorful and loud character from Mughalsarai (UP).
The other characters from Season I also play important roles. The prime cast from season I includes: Dr. Shashank Gupta played by Mohnish Behl, Dr. Atul Joshi played by, Pankit Thakker, Dr. Anjali Gupta played by Sunaina Gulia, Dr. Nikita Malhotra played by Shweta Gulati and Abhimanyu Modi played by Amit Tandon. Other characters include Suvarna Modi played by Madhura Naik, Dr. Yuvraaj Singh (Raj) played by Baron Sobti, Padma Gupta played by Ekta Behl and Dr. Keerti Mehra Rai played by Sonia Singh.
Storyline
Initially, Dr. Siddhant and Dr Tammana fall for each other. But later, they break up and Tamanna gets engaged to another man leaving for Canada with her fiance. Dr. Abhimanyu and Dr. Nikita get engaged.Yuvraj and Naina Fall in love with each other. Yuvraj reveals to Naina that his real surname is not Singh but Oberoi and he didn't pass his internship but came to Sanjeevani with a false identity to take revenge from Shashank. The real Intern Dr. Yuvraj Singh is Raj, a drug addict who is in drug rehab. Yuvraaj Oberoi bribed Raj. Yuvraj Oberoi promises Naina to complete his internship to rejoin Sanjeevani and Naina forgives him. Raj joins Sanjeevani as an Intern after the truth is out... Siddhanth's younger sister Suvarna Modi also joins Sanjeevani as an intern.
Dr. Riddhima and Dr. Siddhant develop an immediate dislike towards each other. But they end up getting married to save their pride, when people start doubting that they are having an affair. They soon start having feelings for each other, but do not want to admit it. Meanwhile, Riddhima's former love Dr. Armaan Malik returns adding a twist to the tale. Siddhant helps Armaan and Riddhima to meet again,and leaves the decision to Riddhima, whether to stay with him or go back to her first love. So the question remains, will Riddhima go to her first or for the guy who she married and fell in love the second time with.
