Um, nevermind; got it. Mooveeguy 20:35, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This should be categorized under "Fictional tigers" and "Cereal advertising characters", but I can't get them both to load correctly... Mooveeguy 20:32, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article about Roy Glenn and his IMDb entry say he was the original voice of Tony - can anyone clarify this? Ausir 02:06, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Voiced by Wyatt Earp? What?! Wyatt Earp died in 1929, way before Tony the Tiger appeared!

voice confusion

Every other source I have seen has said that Tony was voiced by Thurl Ravenscroft from inception until his death in 2005, where is the information about these other voice actors in this article taken from? BenW (talk) 14:19, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've met at least one Tony the Tiger. And I have read that there were at least five actors who have voiced the role. Ravenscroft, so I'm told, still voiced the part from time to time in the 1990s.

This is an article which, in many respects, requires better research. It should be remembered that just because something is written someplace does not mean it is actually true. The best person to write an article such as this is someone actually familiar with the film community (as one may call it) should write it. Such a person would know good sources from bad ones. 75.48.38.184 (talk) 05:45, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, McKennan claims he came up with adding a "grr" to "great", and it hurt his voice too much because he was doing it in his throat instead of his uvula, so he passed the role on to Thurl, who -also- claims he was just told to say "Great" and added the "grr" himself..

Jr.

This article says that our TT is Jr all grown up. When was that said? 98.14.15.12 (talk) 03:10, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The source for this in the article is a completely un-sourced web page apparently by a student at Pitt University. Frankly, I just don't believe anything in our Wikipedia article. It needs massively better research. 75.48.38.184 (talk) 05:51, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
