Greetings from WikiProject Medicine!

Welcome to WikiProject Medicine!

I noticed you recently added yourself to our Participants' list, and I wanted to welcome you to our project. Our goal is to facilitate collaboration on medicine-related articles, and everyone is welcome to join (regardless of medical qualifications!). Here are some suggested activities:

Read our Manual of Style for medical articles and guide to Reliable medical sources

Join in editing our collaboration of the week (the current one is Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)

Discuss with other members in the doctor's mess

Have a look at some related WikiProjects

Have a look at the collaboration dashboard

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask at the project talk page, or please feel free to ask for help, on talk page.

Again, welcome!

User:GiggsHammouri/aboutme

Just a friendly note. You created your "about me" page in mainspace, but this is something that should be on your user page or a subpage of your userpage. I boldly moved it to User:GiggsHammouri/aboutme. HTH!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 17:38, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Dermatology

Do you have any interest in dermatology? If so, I am looking for help with derm content on wikipedia. kilbad (talk) 19:04, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Nice job creating the sebaceous carcinoma. I really appreciate your help! The only thing I would mention now is that I think most people place citations after the period if they come at the end of a sentence.
  • If you are interested in creating any additional new dermatology articles, I am in the process of editing the List of skin-related conditions currently, so I would ask that you do not edit the list itself at this time. However, while creating the list, I have found numerous missing articles related to epidermal nevi, neoplasms, cysts; therefore, if you want to create any of the missing articles found at List_of_skin-related_conditions#Epidermal_nevi.2C_neoplasms.2C_cysts, that would be greatly appreciated.
  • Also, for more information about dermatology on wikipedia, see WP:DERM. In the future, if you want feedback concerning dermatology articles, post your links and questions at WT:DERM so other people can read and learn from your posts as well. Keep up the good work!
  • If you have more friends, perhaps get them involved too ;) kilbad (talk) 19:19, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Mohs and sebaceous tumor

While the article is likely correct, it has been a battle to maintain that Mohs is even effective or worthy of use in even BCC. I'd say we need to do alot more to educate non-dermatologists about Mohs surgery, before making more claims that we can not back up. Just look at the edits that Nickcoop has done on both the basal cell cancer article and the Mohs surgery article.--Northerncedar (talk) 02:58, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Very kind... thank you for that star. kilbad (talk) 23:54, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
