In music

  • A motor-driven platform that normally rotates a gramophone record at a constant rotational velocity, either as part of a phonograph or a free-standing hi-fi component
  • Modern musical instrument used in turntablism
  • Turntable (song), a TLC song from their album 3D
  • A turntable hit is a hit vinyl single which is commonly more successful in the airplay charts than in sales
  • Turntables (song), a Ciara song from her album Fantasy Ride

In technology

  • Turntable (rail), a device used at some railroad facilities to turn locomotives or other rolling stock around
  • Turntable (motor vehicle), a motorized or manual device, usually installed in a driveway or on a garage floor, that rotates a motor vehicle to facilitate an easier or safer egress of the vehicle
  • Turntable (display), a motorized rotating platform used for displaying items
  • Turntable, a part of an articulated bus or other vehicle directly over pivoting joint, which preserves continuity of a floor during articulation
  • A potter's wheel or pottery wheel, used for shaping spinning clay
  • A Lazy Susan, a rotating tray used on a large tabletop or elsewhere so that items can be retrieved from any position by turning it, is sometimes called a turntable, although most dictionaries do not include this use.
