Diether Carlos Pascual Ocampo (b. July 22, 1972) is a Filipino actor, singer and model. He is known popularly as "Diet".
In front of the microphone, he is known as “Capt. Mongrel” with his band, “Blow”. Aside from Ocampo as frontman,his band members are Kessenth "Col. Cabron" Cheng (lead guitars), Emil Buencamino (percussion), Jasper “Pepe” Ong (co-vocals), and Empi K. Martinez aka "Obi Wakantoti" (bass). The band has two albums to date, "Nice & Hard" (2003) and "Rock Manila" (2005).[1][2] In 2007, Ocampo starred in an anti-zoo ad for PETA ASIA-PACIFIC.
Ocampo's transfer from ABS CBN to a GMA has been discussed in different papers. He may have already signed a 4-year contract. He was supposed to have his first project on GMA which is the Koreanovela remake of All About Eve. [3] But recently, he had just signed a two-year contract in his home network after having been offered two primetime shows and Ocampo will remain as a Star Magic talent.[4] During the Trade Launch of new shows of ABS-CBN next year, Diet is included in two teleserye's in the Kapamilya Network in 2009, namely Only You with Angel Locsin and Sam Milby and the Philippine version of Rubí with Angelica Panganiban. Diether Ocampo remains an exclusive Kapamilya star.[5] Ocampo's last film for Star Cinema was Nasaan Ka Man (2005).
