State Highway 302 is a state highway that runs between Mentone and Odessa in West Texas. The route was designated in 1939 between Kermit and Odessa. It absorbed SH 276, which ran from US 285 to Mentone in 1953. The 30-mile (48 km) gap between these two sections was finally connected in 1990, replacing FM 1211. Speed Limit on Texas Hwy. 302 is 75 mph in Reeves, Loving, and Winkler County/70 mph in Ector County.

Route description

SH 302 begins at an intersection with US 285 in Reeves County in West Texas. It heads northeast from the intersection and enters Loving County where the highway intersects FM 867. The routing continues into Winkler County and the highway intersects FM 1232, FM 874 and SH 115 before reaching Kermit. In Kermit, it intersects SH 18 and heads towards the east-northeast into Ector County, passing through Notrees, Texas. At an intersection with SH 158, SH 302 begins to head towards the southeast towards Odessa. At an intersection with Loop 338 in Odessa, SH 302 turns south to follow Pacific Boulevard and run concurrently with Loop 338. The pair continue to the south to an interchange with I-20. I-20 serves as the eastern terminus of SH 302 and Loop 338 continues south of the I-20 interchange.[2]
