"So Lonely"
Song

"So Lonely" is a song written and produced by American singer Mariah Carey for the re-release of her fourteenth album, The Emancipation of Mimi. It is a duet with rapper Twista, and is also featured on his album The Day After. It serves as a sequel track to "One and Only" (also featuring Twista), another track from The Emancipation of Mimi. It will be released as the sixth single (fifth in North America) from The Emancipation of Mimi in 2006 (see 2006 in music).

"So Lonely" officially impacts radio on January 18 2006, but had already been added to many radio station playlists before that. It premiered on the radio and the internet in late September 2005. The track became available for album download at iTunes in late 2005.

"So Lonely" is "bubbling under" the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop chart, and it has entered on the Pop 100 chart. The single's video is said to premiere sometime in February. The version of the song being promoted as a single is the one that is on The Emancipation of Mimi, which has an additional verse by Carey and a lengthier intro than the version on Twista's The Day After.
