Attempting to figure out what I'm being blocked for

Jody Whitesides (talk) 20:15, 22 April 2010 (UTC) Jody[reply]

This user is asking that his block be reviewed:

Jodywhitesides (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Unsure why my account was blocked. I've never created an article, but I would like to now.

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=Unsure why my account was blocked. I've never created an article, but I would like to now. |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

{{unblock reviewed |1=Unsure why my account was blocked. I've never created an article, but I would like to now. |decline = {{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

{{unblock reviewed |1=Unsure why my account was blocked. I've never created an article, but I would like to now. |accept = accept reason here ~~~~}}

I don't see any active blocks on your account. What message do you see when you try to edit? TNXMan 20:18, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are currently unable to edit pages on Wikipedia. You can still read pages, but you cannot edit or create them. Editing from 69.108.96.0/19 has been disabled by Deskana for the following reason(s): CheckUser evidence has determined that this IP address (or network) has been used abusively. This address (or network) has been blocked temporarily or permanently to prevent further abuse. In extreme cases, an entire network may be blocked to prevent an abusive user from continually changing their IP address in order to evade blocks or abusing multiple accounts. If you are a registered user and are seeing this message, please follow these instructions. Administrators: CheckUsers are privy to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy, and therefore must be consulted before this block can be removed. Users: If you already have an account in good standing, you may request IP block exemption to bypass this block. Post an unblock request to your user talk page. This block has been set to expire: 18:56, 6 May 2010. Even if blocked, you will usually still be able to edit your user talk page and contact other editors and administrators by e-mail. Note: Please use the [show] links across from each header to show more information. Jody Whitesides (talk) 20:20, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
