Black Magic is the upcoming fifth studio album by American rapper 50 Cent.[3] 50 will go in The Invitation Tour in promotion for the album and his last album. Songs that are on the album will be performed during the tour.

Background

The album was announced as early as May 2009, when 50 Cent said in an interview with MTV that he will be releasing a follow up LP one month after the release of Eminem's Recovery.[4] 50 Cent announced the album's title as Black Magic during a backstage interview.[5] In an interview with MTV, 50 Cent announced that Black Magic will be released during the summer of 2010, "I kind of planned on releasing Black Magic ... I gave myself a goal to try and put it out by the end of the summer, so I'll work that hard on the actual project." Since 50 cent posted Swedish/persian singer Arash's video "Dasa Bala" on his blog, Rumours has circulated about a possible collaboration between the two of them. [6]

Concept

During a backstage interview, 50 Cent stated that the Black Magic LP will be "more up-tempo, more dance". He was inspired by the Eurodance music played in clubs during his Before I Self Destruct tour in Europe. [7] In an interview with DJ Tim Westwood, 50 Cent stated that the LP would not be an uncharacteristic techno album, it will be a hip-hop album inspired by dance music; it will still be a "50 Cent album", just written in a different way.[8]

Recording

50 Cent stated in an interview that he recorded three songs for the album, while on tour in Europe.[9]
