Savills plc is a global real estate services provider listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: SVS) and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. They have an international network of more than 200 offices and associates throughout the Americas, the UK, continental Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East, offering a broad range of specialist property advisory, management and transactional services to clients all over the world.
History
The business was established by Alfred Savill in 1855 in London.[2] It incorporated as a limited company in 1987 and was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1988.[2] In 1997 it merged with First Pacific Davies (Chinese: 第一太平戴維斯) in Asia.[3] In 1998 it bought majority stakes in the German, French and Spanish arms of Weatherall, Green & Smith.[2]
