Hi,
I am Ajoy Kumar Singha, a guy with dreams in the eyes and fire in the belly to convert those dreams into reality.
Formative Years. . . I came to this planet on 03-02-1980 in Silchar, which is a beautiful urban valley in Assam. For the next 18 years I was there pursuing my schooling and higher secondary.
Schooling made me a responsible citizen, a man with head over his shoulders. The years invested in education inculcated in me a sense of responsibility, confidence and a desire for achievements.
Dreams achieved. . . My first and foremost dream was to be an Engineer and it came true when I cracked the Joint Admission Test for admission into the state run Engineering College. In the same year in 1998, I had a chance to serve the nation as an Airman in Technical Trade in the Indian Air Force. However, I decided to continue with the Engineering studies.
I came out as a graduate in Mechanical Engineering in the year 2002. Those four years in the residential college modified my vision of observing and analyzing things in technical way. During my course curriculum, I had an opportunity to refine myself in the HFCL, Namrup, the only Urea producing fertilizer plant in the entire Northeast.
I had also cultivated a new idea in the field of design. The project entitled “A Software Package to Design Internal Combustion Engine Components” helped me a lot to understand the complex design procedure. I also gained an insight into how to work in team to produce dedicated result.
A man with mind among the crowd. . . The four years of my technical education had a major impact on me. Besides honing my technical skills, the course made me a tough nut and more fierce a competitor. I had become an extrovert.
I represented my college in the state level Quiz competitions and fetched pride to the college by winning 2nd runners up in two occasions. I was also declared the “Best Literary Person” of the college for my contribution to the literature field.
I had a chance to represent the student society as the magazine and debating secretary of the college students’ union and I published the annual magazine “JOENCO JOURNAL”.
To me, life is a continuous learning process. I wish to keep this ambition alive by working in a growing corporate (like HCL Technologies - My current workplace) and take a real challenge to tame those complex problems of the world competition.
