Kazan (Volga region) Federal University

A decree on the establishment of Kazan (Volga) Federal University [1] was signed by Dmitry Medvedev on October 21, 2009.[2]

The most likely option for merging existing universities to form the Volga Federal University on the basis of Kazan State University is the accession of the Tatar State University of Humanities and Education (TGGPU), Kazan State Financial and Economic University (KGFEI) and Kazan State Architectural University (KGASU).[3]
