Information

Currently I am studying Medicine at Swansea University, but prior to this I studied at several Universities in the North of England gaining undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Astronomy and Astrophysics.

PhD Title: A Spectroscopic Study of the Rapidly Oscillating Peculiar A Star HD 134214

During my PhD I studied the photometric and spectroscopic properties of roAp stars, in particular HD 134214. I performed a detailed abundance analysis of this star and also analysed the radial velocity variations, in order to try and gain a better understanding of the structure of the atmosphere of HD 134214 and the pulsations therein.

My Interests

My special areas of interest are Astronomy and Medicine and I have a particular interest in trying to keep articles in these subjects of high quality.

I am also a great follower and player of rugby, snooker and darts. In particular I follow Sale Sharks in Rugby Union and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in Rugby League. I have also attended the World Snooker Championships on many occasions. My interest in darts extends to playing regularly with my housemate and watching it on the television.
